Searched and scrolled quickly, but didn’t see this listed yet.

14PM…was listening to Apple Music playlist this morning and an email notification came through.

Volume decreased as it should while the “ping” for the email plays…but then doesn’t return to normal. Have to back out of music and back in to get to “normal” volume levels.

Happened again when a text came through.

Doing a hard restart and checking the volume page, but simple annoying bug that may be resolved in a future beta or from me muting my volume on the side of the phone.

CarPlay …. Just tried it (Ford Edge ST - Sync 4) - no go. Keeps searching for the phone. It sees it but never connects.

Will play around later.
Car play not working on my Lexus no 350. Siri can’t respond or send messages

I've just got another Spamcall.
Sadly there is no option anymore to put the phone number directly on the blocked list from the call log.

When you go to Settings - Apps - Phone - Blocked Contacts you can only choose saved persons (but there are also phone numbers saved).

Hope they fix this because silence unknown callers won't solve the problem (they call with a clean number and could be a customer)

Unless the glitch is specific to your phone, just click on the spam caller's number in your call log. This brings up their "info." Block contact is at the bottom. I just blocked a spammer a few minutes ago.

So, generally speaking…. How is this first beta running? No weird crashes or severe glitches or anything that impedes day to day use?

Yeah yeah yeah, I know, don’t daily drive a beta… got it, shut up already.

I’m confused with what you are saying here…block unknown numbers blocks ALL numbers not in your contact list. Has always been that way.

As stated above, you then can only see it in recent calls and VM if they left one and you can block from there. Has always been that way.

Thanks, sound good to me then. I presume it can’t get worse from here! I am always a little hesitant but maybe I will wait till b3 or b4 and then jump in. Good that it is relatively solid to begin with. I’m not in too much of a rush and it seems that we are still waiting on most of the advanced new features anyway.

Well.. i have to say that this beta 1 is surprising stable on my iPhone 13!
No issues and no problems with most of the app that i use!
(Instagram,Whatsapp,Bank App, Tik Tok, and some work app )

That seems to be the norm from recent beta cycles. My guess is that it’s due at least in part to the fact that Apple has been working on this for months and has it pretty much dialed it. It’s beta 2 and 3 that you have to watch out for as they start tweaking the design and fixing the issues reported via user feedback.

This is probably already in this thread, but just to be sure - I am intermittently getting a prompt to enter an "IMAP" password in Mail. Gotten it twice in two days. Cancelling doesn't seem to impact the retrieval or sending of mail. Guessing this is being driven my my Gmail accounts and not my Exchange accounts.

Despite the enhancements for the Home Screen grid you still can't place a 2x2 widget in the middle, so that's there one column next to both sides. Also, still can't place widgets between a singular row, icons are always in 2x2 pairs.

Both of these layouts cannot be made:

My IOS 18 works correctly, although I have some untranslated submenus, but it's nothing important, otherwise it's going great!!! Installation on iPhone 14 Pro.

Give Tim a little more time, that we can do something like that is the invention of the century!!!
😝😝😝:cool::cool:

I have to say, whilst iOS 18 looks nice, I’m rather disappointed. There’s nothing cutting edge, nothing groundbreaking. It’s just the stuff Google have been doing for the past 10 years.
Sir, you need to immerse yourself more in the doctrine of Apple.

Only then will you realize just how profound tinted icons are.
