iOS 18 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

In the past, long pressing on an Apple Music radio station (your personal station, your Discovery station, etc) would give you the option to add it to your queue.

That’s been gone throughout the iOS 18 beta cycle and really hope it comes back.

Because, unlike most users in this thread, there are third party developers who are counting on this stuff being included because there are developer APIs coming along with them, such as Genmoji and Image Generation, that need to be implemented and tested. Also feedback is important on those things. You can't put these in just in the last beta. As of right now none of these APIs are available for developers as well.

Thats a side of things people forget with the new OS's with AI being rolled out, its one thing for Apple to show off their own apps at WWDC with AI features, but for all the developers out there its a new challenge to create a equal playing field. There is no DTK to use for testing in advance, just have to wait as Apple slowly provides AI features piece by piece with new future betas.

I had to turn RCS off because my wife, who has an Android, was receiving double texts.

Reporting the issue.

Apple could implement it in iOS 18 betas and then remove it prior to public release, ready for later public implementation.

Or they could implement it in iOS 18.x betas later in the year.

As Apple AI will only work on iPhone 15 pro and above (and there's no 16s yet), they may not get as many testers as they require.
 
I just downloaded iOS 18 public beta yesterday.
I have maybe around 74.000 messages/42GB in iMessage. At the moment only 3 threads are showing there. All others are gone. When I go to settings, iCloud + and messages, I push “synchronize now” it’s synchronizing but nothing more comes. Earlier this morning when I did this, all messages was there. Anyone else have that issue?

No.
But maybe try to force restart your iPhone?
Or did you already done that ?

- Pics in the fotos app in the hidden pics folder are in wrong order: new ones on top. Can you adjust this?

- Also it’s always necessary to press to activate Face ID to unlock the folder?

Any one experiencing more lag in the keyboard than usual? I have had the bug where the first couple of letter you type are behind on the screen on and off for forever, but now the keyboard seems more laggy throughout typing. It's a bit random when it happens, but more often than just every now and again. I have turned off predictive text and autocorrect, and neither of those have help. Also reset my keyboard dictionary.

I have an iPhone 14 PM for reference
