Haven’t seen that yet, but on beta 3 before the revision I was having issues with the notifications sounds playing on several different notifications types. The revision seemed to fix that.
Im surprised that so little amount of people are noticing this issue, Ive had this same issue basically since iOS 17.* and the issue is on/off, sometimes its non-existent and then all of a sudden comes back.
Apple stock KB on my 15PM is a mess. Swapped to the GBoard after initial testing.
I only had the few hiccups at the beginning of typing on iOS 17. On 18 it just feels very sluggish. Never experienced this on an Apple device before. Very frustrating. I kind of thought it was because of some memory issue with the 14pm, but I seen others say there 15 pm’s are doing the same. It has to be iOS 18, which in turn is building of the already bugged iOS 17.
Well I have 15PM and Ive had this issue since iOS 17.*, sometimes this issue is so bad that popup letters are few letters behind my typing. I had to turn off popup preview. And when this issue happens it lasts full sentences and doesnt go away. And hard reset doesnt fix it either.
We should do what @dk001 suggested and switch to GBoard.
Oh dear. So yeah it’s clearly one of those bugs Apple just doesn’t fix. It’s a real pain.
Yeah, at this point Apple already calls it a feature, not a bug. One thing I loved in Samsung phones is the keyboard, and how flexible it is. You can customize the ish out of it and move stuff around. You can even make your keyboard background animated and it still would not lag like iOS keyboard does.
Maybe when Apple adds more ram to their phones they can finally "fix" laggy keyboard.
Siri’s been asking me which app I want to use to play music every single time I ask. Very annoying.
Siri just needs a friend, less and less people are using it lately and thats why Siri became lonely. And it tries to hold on to you with their last strength.
The size is different from what I had. And moving the slider either way doesn't bring it back. It's either too small, or too large.
There’s also an update to the app itself, so it should all be sorted by now.

I do not have very good experiences with CarPlay since a beta last year.
Heck CarPlay hasn’t been great in several iOS releases. I have had issues with Apple Music, notifications, and maps. Notifications were a hot mess in iOS 17. Sometimes I would get a red dot when I had a messages, and sometimes not. Then it would sit with a red dot even after checking it. I don’t understand how these bugs go unchecked.
Early this year I had a f* 3 hrs conversation with an Apple support, btw, 3 persons... I've report this issue on Reddit, Feedback app and through Apple's site, they were awere about this problem, but they done nothing to fix it.
In this 3 hours conversation I factory reset my phone then the problem stopped for about 2/3 days, them it come back.. If I remember correctly, they said that iOS 17.3 would fix this.
My first language it's BR-Portuguese and the predictive text its INSANE! It change the words all the time to words that aren't even close to what I'm trying to write.
Idk why Apple downgrade their keyboard so much.
I've test in an iPhone 6 and an 7+ with iOS 15.8 and the typing experience it's another level, very good predictions and no lag.
I wish they fix this.
I guess this isn’t important enough for Apple to waste their time on. These are the small bugs that last forever with no fix, and just seem to be forgotten by Apple.
I'm having an issue taking photos with the rear camera. The viewer shows active camera feed but the shutter button refuses to work at times. And when photos do capture, they're displayed blurry with a ! symbol stating an error loading.
Similar to your problem or nah?
Apple will just sweep this bug under the rug by saying "Were not able to replicate this bug on our test units, so therefore were not focusing on this bug no longer". My next phone might not be an Apple one, I might switch to Samsung and their next S25 Ultra.
My photos are all out of focus when taken with a default camera (rear, 48mp proraw). Photos arent looking out of focus in the Camera app preview, but in the gallery theyre all out of focus. Beta 3 didnt have this issue but Beta 3+ does.
ProShot app doesnt have this issue.
Actually now that I took a photo with a default camera app I confirm your bug, I also get the "i" in the photo stating that loading higher quality picture has failed.

I decided to upgrade to 18 on my old iPhone 11. I even kept RCS and did the customization features even though I am anti anything RCS/android like.
I will say that the experience has been great. No bugs two days in. The RCS doesn’t bother me as much as it did simply because it’s still green so I’ll still always know if I’m talking to someone who is android. The customization is lame and overhyped but I did at least find a design I like.
My only complaint is I hate the new photos app

I've not done much with the homescreen customisation as I tried and disliked the text-free extra-large icons, but I have customised the control centre nicely, and added some shortcuts to it, and a shortcut where the camera app was on the lock screen.
I'm probably in a (vocal) minority, but I like the new Photos app. I'm not a photographer so I customise the landing screen to just show recents at the top, then Albums and Utilities underneath.
I wish it showed all albums instead of the top two (or whatever algorithm it's using) but clicking on the heading opens them all up easily enough.
