Does anybody else can’t connect their iPhone to WiFi? Beta 3
No matter what I do, disable Bluetooth, mobile connection off, nothing helps.
Anybody ?

No issues here, my wifi has worked correctly throughout the betas.

Try to reset network settings, and forget known wifi networks.

I was about to try the beta on my daily 15 Pro Max but read about the double texts issues when texting green bubbles with RCS enabled. That’s a dealbreaker. Everyone still having this issue?

I decided to upgrade to 18 on my old iPhone 11. I even kept RCS and did the customization features even though I am anti anything RCS/android like.

I will say that the experience has been great. No bugs two days in. The RCS doesn’t bother me as much as it did simply because it’s still green so I’ll still always know if I’m talking to someone who is android. The customization is lame and overhyped but I did at least find a design I like.

My only complaint is I hate the new photos app
Tinted icons look so horrible lol. I really hope they polish that up a little bit in subsequent betas.

Anyone thinks Apple should add the sticker effects to the app icons along the tint? Would be could to have glossy reflective icons or holographic ones :)

Early this year I had a f* 3 hrs conversation with an Apple support, btw, 3 persons... I've report this issue on Reddit, Feedback app and through Apple's site, they were awere about this problem, but they done nothing to fix it.
In this 3 hours conversation I factory reset my phone then the problem stopped for about 2/3 days, them it come back.. If I remember correctly, they said that iOS 17.3 would fix this.

My first language it's BR-Portuguese and the predictive text its INSANE! It change the words all the time to words that aren't even close to what I'm trying to write.

Idk why Apple downgrade their keyboard so much.

I've test in an iPhone 6 and an 7+ with iOS 15.8 and the typing experience it's another level, very good predictions and no lag.

I wish they fix this.
I did the same as you numerous times. Apple engineers said they are aware of the car play issues and told me to wait for a software update. That was last year in iOS 17. It has STILL not been fixed.

Which Carplay issues? My 15 PM has always been spotty in my Rav4 Hybrid but works perfectly in my wife's CRV...I wonder if it's a "OEM" issue or Apple issue or both? What car do you have?

Apple will just sweep this bug under the rug by saying "Were not able to replicate this bug on our test units, so therefore were not focusing on this bug no longer". My next phone might not be an Apple one, I might switch to Samsung and their next S25 Ultra.
Believe it or not, there truly are bugs that are either so insignificant or affect so few users that they have to say that. Just like every other software developer does. It sucks that this might happen to anyone. But Apple has only finite resources - people, time and money - to address every bug.

In addition, recall that you are using BETA software. If this happens when the final product is shipped in September, go ahead and complain. Until then file feedback.

Good luck on your Samsung phone.

In that time, have you set your phone up as new to see if that resolves the issue? Or have you had the hardware looked at?

If you read my earlier posts, there is nothing to do with beta software because Ive had this same issue since iOS 17.*, and yes Ive sent feedback after feedback and not seeing this bug getting fixed. Keyboard is also quite essential part of your phone isnt it? When it lags so much that is becomes unusable am I not allowed to share my thoughts?

Ok so it really seems like that the beta here is the problem - on my old iPhone 13 Pro on beta 1 I have the same problem, no WiFi connection at all.
I connected to another WiFi network and at least it shows the WiFi symbol in the upper right bar.
So I know it’s not my iPhone that’s broken - was anxious about needing to exchange my iPhone 15 PM!
Reported it in the feedback app.

Edit: fingers crossed for beta 4 and a fix

Share all the thoughts you want. But if the lag affects only you (or a small number of users overall), don’t expect Apple to jump all over it. And its a beta.

Do you really believe that a few users have the same issue? Go to Reddit and search "iPhone keyboard" you will see that a lot of users have the same problem, maybe they just doesn't report a feedback to Apple or maybe apple don't care.

As Artesia told, this isn't new, this come from iOS 17.

Finally, something you and I agree on! That redesign is hot garbage
And also true to my word, I have officially disabled RCS after trying it.

It’s wholly unnecessary and while it at least appears to work similarly to sms (probably why apple left it green), it proved a point to me. RCS is still wholly unreliable.

It literally switches from SMS and RCS mid conversation. When it failed then it would refuse to send as RCS and prompt you to send as sms. But then the sms kept failing multiple times and then finally it would send as a RCS.

I can see day to day users getting confused by this. iMessage is still largely superior and I will be encouraging my friends to disable it immediately.

Design wise….im going to play with it later today and try another design. My phone looks too much trash like android (still not terrible) so I’m going to try and iOS focused design and see if I can figure it out.

The new control center is nice and I surprisingly like the t9 entry more than I thought. My only concern is why is there a power icon in the control center when we already have a power button. It’s redundant.

I also hate the redesign of the call long.

No not all.
Maybe unpair them and reset them?

I tried, but no luck.

Anyway, I've seen reports on Mastodon of people with the same problems, it seems they talked about in Connected. I hope Apple fixes it (already filed a Feedback).

Thanks anyway :)

Notifications

Lockscreen Notifications will usually start the process to open (pending FaceID approval - usually seemless) the corresponding app. I am getting intermittent failures - the screen just goes dark until you hit the power button. It is not app specific and has happened for everything from calendar to X.

Doing the same from the Notifications screen after unlocking the device exhibits none of these failures. There is no corresponding Analytics entry.

This just started yesterday.

This!

In proraw low light photos are terrible, these are my 48mp proraw max low light shots (3sec). As you can see, proraw and non-proraw is useless in low light. No its not green in my home. :D

If I use flash then its fine:

Just a suggestion… it usually helps to take pictures of the same scene/item/location when doing comparisons. All 3 of these phots seem to be of different rooms.

Also, low-light (or no-light as in yours) will usually require more than 3 seconds to allow light in.

So in the Home App, my electric company doesn't support the "Connect your energy account" functionality. Does anyone know how to get rid of the message at the top of the app?

Beyond that I am fairly impressed with this beta. The only other wonky issue I found was some scrolling issues in the Calendar app sometimes going back to the top of the current day.

Did I miss the way to adjust the order of Notification Center pages? Music, or Now Playing, is second. I'd prefer it to be last.
