iOS 18 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

lol, I’ll top that. Mine a release day 14pm and it’s still at 100% and yes, I do use it but I don’t sit on it all day long. Get 3-4 days out of one charge.
No idea. Use safari, youtube, insta, WhatsApp, mail daily,… medium user id say.
CarPlay wired. Don’t use optimised charging. Always used IPSW files for beta installs, don’t use auto brightness, Who knows… 278 cycle count.

WhatsApp is not a iOS feature or phone related. It’s just other commercial way to add users to meta
Maybe they found a bug that needs fixing first to me B4 is the worse out of all 4 beta’s
Maybe that’s why…who knows, but this is about bugs and improvements, all other things please in the iOS 18 speculation thread.
So I have had my 14 PM dim pretty dark and wait a bit to brighten up, but it has never stayed low and never come back. Does yours never come back without you having to turn it up yourself?
Battery life on my 15pm is 94 at 247 cycles. Just installed dev b4 from 17.5.1 and it’s been a dumpster fire for two days and getting worse. Keyboard lags, atrocious battery life, watches die in 8 hours, it’s been horrible. Gamble you take when getting on a beta, but past betas I feel have been better at this point. And the new Siri still not being out and things being this fragmented still at this stage seems like Apple again has bitten off more than it can chew for such a minor upgrade with no AI integration at this point. The other features seem kinda meh in all honesty given The lackluster feature set!

Tried it for myself, works fine - maybe restart your iPhone if you not already done that!?
Did you just now download the beta? You have to give it some time. These are things that happen when the phone is fresh off a download and hot.
Not necessarily. Not when it applies to the beta and how battery life is holding up. Can’t say no battery life talk in beta thread across the board. It’s a big part of how the beta is working for folks.
iPhone 15 Pro Max, T-Mobile, has anyone noticed what appears to be the modem crashing once in a while? I go from full signal and it drops out and comes right back. I don't see it on a iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Maybe that’s my issue as well with dropped or failed calls on my 15PM, I am on EE U.K thou
I downloaded it on Monday. It is now Thursday. And as time goes by, the phone is only getting worse not better. But yes I’m aware of the indexing. Honestly I think it’s collecting stuff for Apple even though I turned analytics off and use the feedback app to report.
This will be the last year I jump on the beta bandwagon as I have in years past with better results but the features Apple adds are less and less impressive. They could go to an every other year model for OS and little updates along the way and I’d be fine. They already can’t get things out on time or polished.
But I signed up and this is part of it this year. Just letting others know it’s not worth it in dev b4.
For most of us it seems like it’s worth it the dev beta 4! Please don’t speak for all of us!
I’m not, simply stating it’s been rough for me. If a public release were like my device is now I would dump iOS and Apple from “my” experiences. It’s been that bad and was fine before the update. So it’s indexing a whole lot. Perhaps in prep for the new Siri? But it’s consuming a lot of power still 3 days in.
