Wow that looks normal… I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s causing my Now Playing screen to sit too high. I’ve done multiple restarts and messed around with lock screen customization and can’t get it to look normal…
So is it happening on your other wallpapers or a newly created one? I can see it can be an annoyance, but if it is not causing any functional problems, you can manage. Or go the extra mile and reinstall the b4, ideally via IPSW.

Is anyone else having a problem with the dynamic wallpapers? The wallpaper on the lock screen changes color throughout the day. Unfortunately, the wallpaper on the home screen does not change.

Yeah it’s happening with all wallpapers. Not worth a reinstall or anything… mainly just frustrating cause I can’t figure out why most people aren’t experiencing it and it sets off my OCD every time I see it!

15 ProMax
Some of these existed in beta 3 too.

  1. Notifications > Banner - anything I have playing; YT, Prime, etc… a Banner Notification kills the sound far lower than beta3
  2. Notifications > Banner - Had this in Beta 2 but beta 3 was okay - some Banners will appear and remain till you manually dismiss them
  3. Apple Car Play > Wireless - with Ford Sync 4 messages doesn’t always work. They fail on read or send. On my Chevy Colorado it fails to stay linked.
  4. Notification > Badges - Badge numbers are usually incorrect for Messages, Mail, Teams, Outlook, and Blink.
  5. Battery - drains faster with less SOT than beta 3
  6. The false “AirPods Pro moving with you message is back. Has this in betas for 17 and 18b1 off and on. I have Find My turned off.
  7. Camera shots have a yellowish/orangish tint for lower light pics. Ongoing issue.
  8. When waking up the brightness level is incorrect. Usually dimmer. I do not use AOD.
  9. YouTube background play may or may not work.
  10. AirPods Pro 2 - Noise Cancellation will randomly turn off. Tells me I have to place in ear to turn back on, meanwhile they are in ear and both playing. Same issue in beta 3.
More to come.
Nothing earth shaking as this is a beta.
Yes, when I test, I am very picky.
iOS keyboard is still a mess. After testing I swapped back to GBoard.

A couple more things I’ve noticed today with my iPhone.

The system itself seems to be a lot faster. I have an app (that hasn’t been updated in years! Label Printer by Richard McKenna), every time I open it I have to wait at least one second for it to load. That time has been dramatically reduced.

Battery life seems a lot better. The first few betas, my battery life would be 40-50% at the end of my work day. Today it was 60%.

With an external keyboard connected, at the Home Screen if you open spotlight search, the search text field would show and then pop itself from the center. It’s still a little buggy right now, but it seems to be properly placed at the bottom of the screen now.

I’m not sure exactly what’s going on in iOS 18 beta 4, but I can tell you that my phone is re-springing constantly. On the previous beta, it did the same thing but not as often. So I’m not sure exactly what the deal is. Is anyone else having the same problem? I can’t even be on FaceTime for very long without the damn thing restarting. It actually gets really annoying after awhile.

I would reinstall the beta with IPSW file.
Instructions on the first page of this post.

No issues here... what iPhone? how much free storage?

I agree that a fresh install may be warranted..

Has anyone been able to add a sticker to Messages? Each time I try, it just disappears.
I have been able to add them but emojis got screwed between B3 & B4 where the "frequently used" emojis in the picker got reset to defaults or something and they do not update.. There are emojis in that section that I never use.

Odd how things works for one but not another. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Anyone have any ideas why the second public beta was released today for every product except the iPhone? That feels a bit... strange.
