Still doesn;t explain why the battery icons shows on your phone when charging it via a cable (in the car or out) then.

Why one situation for CarPlay and different for iPhone and other devices?
I mean unless there’s an Apple employee willing to speak up we’ll never have a “true” reason but given that this is how it’s always been since wireless CarPlay was a thing, that’s the most logical reasoning. You’re not draining battery when plugged in but you are when you aren’t, and the expectation is that you’re also not relying on an indicator in CarPlay to know your phone is fully charged like you would when normally charging.

You can make the argument CarPlay is displaying a different UI which is why a battery indicator isn’t permanently visible the way it would be normally. To my knowledge I don’t think there’s any other facet of the system that behaves like CarPlay so it’s not like there are any set rules for it to follow.

iCloud appearing at the bottom of the Settings menu…
Cool - now one can go straight to the iCloud stuff rather than clicking your Apple Account (the setting formerly known as Apple ID) and then iCloud.

It also means my shortcut which goes straight to the iCloud Backup screen works again.

Keyboard lag worse than ever on beta 4. Having a feeling Apple is gonna do nothing about this. Reported it several times now. Have an iPhone 14 PM.

Everything thing else seems super snappy with the phone. The keyboard is horrible though. Getting close to almost unusable. Like your typing in mud.

Edit: I have to make and edit. After some more use, it actually seems better. Not completely fixed but better.

They have just announced a new in-person developer event on August 14 for Apple Intelligence. Might this point to a new beta release then? Do we not switch to a three week schedule after beta 4?

They usually move to a weekly release by beta 5...

UPDATE: killed Safari and rebooted. Looks like the issue is fixed.

If I'm not mistaken, the widget light/dark mode appears to have been decoupled from the icon tint and once again follows the system dark mode setting, though this might be a bug as it's behaving a bit erratically.

My goodness thats a high cycle count lol.... The phone's only been out 305 days.
Somehow mine is close to that as well, which doesn’t make sense because I don’t think I’ve been going through more than a cycle a day lol

I was on 98% at point of installing B1 just gone to 92%
That seems a bit too much for me tbh.
I stopped looking for this after I got a Xs where the battery health was going down continuously already months after the purchase.
After the Xs I had a 13 Pro and never looked at this value for almost two years. The first time I checked it finally was after ordering the new 15 Pro and going to put the 13 Pro for selling on eBay.
