I really wish they’d make the Notification Center/bar icons dark when in dark mode as well, they are still light in 18.1

Anyone else seen this bug? This blue box is moving round my screen selecting various parts for a second before moving onto another section. I think it might be something to do with shortcuts. I was creating a shortcut for turning Bluetooth on and off since having it buried in control centre was annoying.

I've deleted those and restarted and it's still happening.

Mine do get dimmed on beta 5 albeit it’s more subtle than on the first 4 betas. Other than the special dark mode icons, of course.
Interesting. I turned off dark mode icons and it looks exactly the same as when dark mode icons are on. Maybe we will get these apps in dark mode at some point and won’t have to worry about it.

I don’t think it’s a bug. Sounds like you have the eye tracking feature turned on.

I don't really care about icons tinting, or going dark, or having shadows or whatever, so with that out of the way ... this beta is working well for me (iPhone 11).

No doubt because my phone doesn't support 5G anyway, I've had absolutely no cellular issues on any of these betas.

Anyone else seeing keyboard lag back a bit? Beta 4 was amazing, but it seems its a bit worse on beta 5.

I’m kinda surprised by how slowly this thread is progressing so far…

Anyone have any updates on the cellular connectivity bug a few people were reporting where they’d lose all cellular signal for a few seconds? I’m assuming with the size of this update that a new modem firmware was included but I’m holding off on installing until there some more confirmation this one is resolved.
There’s another thread discussing the cellular bug…. They’re reporting no problems so far.

Sounds like the beta is more unstable rather than less. Great job apple 🙄
I’ve just gone through this thread and see only a small bit of evidence of that.

Beta development is not linear in that respect. Invariably each year we see this same pattern. Stability usually only tends to improve by betas 7 or 8 when Apple is largely done tweaking things.

I also won't call this beta unstable at all. Does it have bugs, yes, do full releases of iOS have bugs? Oh yeah. The beta 5 of 18 is very stable. I think people misuse the word unstable.
