Finally jumped on 18 B5 on 15 Pro, First issue found is Find My map shown is at least 10 years old. Information, business names and people are correct. Rebooted, deleted and reinstalled Find my and Maps with no difference. Reported.
Confirmed, there is an issue in 18.0 beta 5 which causes Find my to break after reboot. I've investigated this issue today and found that either a clean install or updating from 17.6, once the phone is rebooted, Find my stops working in some manner. I'm gonna try to initialize on beta 4, do a couple reboots then update to beta 5.

Just wanting to confirm if a bug or due to me downgrading using an unsupported method. On my iPad the control center has a screen mirroring icon, I can remove it but when I reboot it comes back, is this affecting anyone else?

Thanks
It’s a bug. It keeps coming back to my 15 PM as well. And I did a normal upgrade to the beta.

I am having weirdness with contact disappearing. But I also have address books from iCloud, MS, and Google.

Not at all happy with the CarPlay interface on 18.0B5. It’s ugly as sin, icons are bigger and what's with the app names font/background? Also, it will not connect to any audio source when using the wireless dongle.

Pretty massive bug that I noticed today on 18.0 DB 5:

-Autofill a password in Safari (that's where I noticed it happening)
-Face ID prompt will pop up
-Make sure it fails or doesn't recognize your face
-Hit cancel
-Hit autofill password again
-Password will autofill without prompting Face ID or any authentication

I submitted feedback (FB14707890) for this if anyone is experiencing it and wants to file feedback too.

I found that Find My was also buggy, but go to settings -> iCloud -> find my and back out/in once per reboot until it starts working

The light mode looks nicer, but I also wish Apple would allow us to use our own wallpapers in CarPlay at this point.

I'm glad they finally updated the text for an alarm. I have an alarm set every M-F for 4AM. When I turned my alarm off it would always say "Tomorrow Night" (as in the alarm will be set then). 4AM isn't night time. But at least it's sorted now and it is saying "Tomorrow Morning". yey

Are you using the large app icons option on your iPhone? I think that carries over to CarPlay

These betas seem to be changing settings. I was wondering why I wasn't getting emails but notifications had been turned off. There have been other settings I've had to adjust too.

Yeah, it's not so clear-cut it turns out. My other iPhone which was OTA updated to each beta since iOS 18.0 beta 1, where it functions perfectly. Yet on a clean install of iOS 18.0 beta 5, it stops working after a reboot. A clean install of beta 4 does not reproduce the issue. So it's something in 18.0 beta 5. My advice is to those on clean install, do not reboot. I couldn't reliably fix it even by turning off and removing Find my from the phone and then reenabling the functionality. Sign out and in of iCloud fixed it temporarily, until reboot, but that's cumbersome.

Same issue here. Seems like B5 took 1 step forward and 2 steps back :( ...
