I do and receive at least 35 calls per day. Huge deal for me the accidental calls.
But why are you clicking on the missed call? The info is on the screen correct? No need to click on the number or name that was called or you called.

This hasn't been an annoyance just recently, this has been long standing. 2 main use cases for me (in either the 'recents' or 'favourites') list:

1) when scrolling through either list you can easily accidentally dial someone by simply touching their name causing misdials (end up with someone calling you back asking if you called them, blah blah)
2) when ending a call (assuming you are already on one of the lists), the timing of pressing the end could easily cause you to touch the name on one of the lists causing misdials again

When Apple changed this to have the one touch icon moved to a specific circle on the right, this pretty much eradicated the above two scenarios for misdials for me whilst also keeping the convenience of one touch dialing, so for me it was the perfect compromise.

In terms of why its a big deal...from my own personal situation I use my phone for work, so yes, I receive and dial out pretty much constantly through the day. I regularly have a handful of misdials daily which doesn't sound like much, but spread over a number of years its a pesky annoyance that I would love to remove. I'm pretty sure even if you don't use the phone that much that there are users on the forum that would agree it would be nice to get rid of.
Ahhh thank you. Now that does makes sense. I thought people were looking at the list and clicking on the screen to see information that is already there.

Think it’s also way more logical to get into the contact details when you touch the name and to start a call with a specific call button.
The problem with their current feedback system is that people only come there to complain. So if people don't like a feature, they get a ton of negative feedback on it. Nobody writes a feedback to say how great a feature is. So what do you do if 2000 developers file negative feedback on this change? They're going to revert it. Do 8000 other developers love the feature? Probably.

Microsoft icons now have dark mode! Some others that previously weren’t, have also now got dark mode.
Nice. I’ve been sitting here cursing my coworkers for not updating their apps. I’m surprised it’s actually an OS update that actually enabled the change.

Gonna update from PB3 when I get to the office.

So someone explain to me why this was such a big deal. For ever recents have always been a 1 touch dial. Why do we want to change that? Was it that you are wanting to see other than dial that the screen doesn’t show when clicking on recents?

Also, you guys must be getting a lot more phones calls than me. I do not frequent this much.

It is not a problem for me either, I was just pointing out that posting on these forums vs Apple’s own feedback platform might be less fruitful.

Oh yeah, I figured this wasn't something you struggled with. Just wasnt sure what all the fuss was about. But 100% agree with you. Only way to get things changed is to submit feedback. It fixed the photos app

It’s an iOS update, as the dark mode icons are done by iOS, not the developers, using machine learning (covered in WWDC).

I can tell you it’s been a problem for me as well. Off the top of my head I don’t recall what information I was usually looking for, but it was def more detail than was on the screen.

Intuitively my mind thinks clicking on the missed call would take me to a screen with more information about the call or perhaps VM. But inevitably I end up madly dashing to end the call that just dialed.

And I get calls infrequently enough that I often forget how it works so I end up repeating that mistake.

The fact that this happens tells me the way it works is not following the most intuitive design….at least for me.

Totally makes sense. Just made sense in my head the old way, but I understand how it wouldn’t make sense in your situation.

Bad change: the recents call list now directly initiates the call again when tapping the cell and the info button on the right is back. So basically it's pre-iOS 18 behavior. Sad.
After the update, when I saw that they reverted it back to its old form, my iPhone almost flew out the window 😤
Isn't there any way to activate this in the settings? If not, I just hope Apple will allow the option.

Performance on my 15PM doesn’t seem quite as good on public beta 4. Benchmark numbers have dropped slightly vs previous beta too.

This is interesting. I am seeing good performance in DB6, but my battery seems worse than the other betas.

My battery seems about the same as the previous beta so far. Had to reset my router as Xbox wouldn’t connect, this seems to have improved my phone as well! But the benchmark numbers have still dropped 🤣

Interesting. I am wondering if it's because I added the Tapatalk Beta yesterday as well and it's eating through the battery. I mean it's not terrible, just no the same as it was before. We still have some more betas to go before GM is delivered, so still lots of optimization to go.

Help me with my decision:
Should I install these beta on my daily driver 15 Pro or not? Ahhh can’t decide.
