Now issue is resolved, if it happens to you just turn off iCloud Photos on MacBook, restart MacBook and turn it back on again on MacBook. It’s gonna take a while to sync it all on MacBook but it solved the issue in my iPhone. All good now.
I hope that doesn’t happen lol. I got my iPad, iPhone, two Mac’s lol.

Wonder if Apple will ever make the Instagram app dark when in dark mode or if we have to wait for the app developer to do it? They’ve already made Facebook dark when in dark mode.

I am betting we won’t get it until Instagram decides to do it themselves. Apple updated the icons to apps that were simple colors to dark, but IG has multiple colors so not so simple.

I wish Reddit and PlayStation apps had a dark mode. I guess their design makes it hard for Apple to automatically make them dark. They look out of place in my homescreen.

db6: Siri is again shuffling playlists on my 14 Pro (not an Apple Music subscriber) - 🤞🏼it will on CarPlay.
Alas, it doesn't work on CarPlay.

I had some complex ones change in this release to have a dark mode, so it may come at some point. I guess there is only so much Apple’s machine learning can do with the other app icons

Wonder what the over all opinion of this beta is… just updated. Going to give it a few to index cuz currently, it’s a little laggy on my 15promax

Looks like the dark mode icon algorithm is still getting better. Previously it didn’t bother to change some more complex (non monochrome) icons like this one

Is anyone missing the cellular and HomeKit shortcut in control center?

Edit: I see from a screenshot in an earlier post, theirs is missing as well. I’m now assuming it’s by design as we can add extra control center pages.

Bad change: the recents call list now directly initiates the call again when tapping the cell and the info button on the right is back. So basically it's pre-iOS 18 behavior. Sad.

THIS x 1000!!!! The 'recents' change to move the one touch to the right was the highlight of the upgrade. I know its sad but after years of misdials it was a revelation. I was actually hoping Apple would implement this on the 'favourites' list as well which I fed back on, so was excited to download this latest Beta to see if they did it...not only did they not do it, they reverted the 'recents' change 🤦‍♂️ I can only hope that Apple decide to put it back to the previous Beta (for both recents and facourites), otherwise it will drive me crazy for at least another year 😒 I really don't know why Apple reverted, judging from the forums this was a +ve change for most.

Can someone confirm if the T9 dialing feature also reverted? That would mean that all changes in Phone app got reverted. Also it's a hope they may all come back.

Please don’t forget to leave your feedback in Apple’s own Feedback app that you get with a beta, as this should have a much better chance to be looked into.

So someone explain to me why this was such a big deal. For ever recents have always been a 1 touch dial. Why do we want to change that? Was it that you are wanting to see other than dial that the screen doesn’t show when clicking on recents?

Also, you guys must be getting a lot more phones calls than me. I do not frequent this much.

I do and receive at least 35 calls per day. Huge deal for me the accidental calls.

This hasn't been an annoyance just recently, this has been long standing. 2 main use cases for me (in either the 'recents' or 'favourites') list:

1) when scrolling through either list you can easily accidentally dial someone by simply touching their name causing misdials (end up with someone calling you back asking if you called them, blah blah)
2) when ending a call (assuming you are already on one of the lists), the timing of pressing the end could easily cause you to touch the name on one of the lists causing misdials again

When Apple changed this to have the one touch icon moved to a specific circle on the right, this pretty much eradicated the above two scenarios for misdials for me whilst also keeping the convenience of one touch dialing, so for me it was the perfect compromise.

In terms of why its a big deal...from my own personal situation I use my phone for work, so yes, I receive and dial out pretty much constantly through the day. I regularly have a handful of misdials daily which doesn't sound like much, but spread over a number of years its a pesky annoyance that I would love to remove. I'm pretty sure even if you don't use the phone that much that there are users on the forum that would agree it would be nice to get rid of.

Indeed it would be so nice to get rid off misdials !
I think Apple would be mad to stay with that decision - hope for back to the new design soon - already made a feedback for it!
