When running beta 6 on the mini I didn’t notice any real change from running iOS 17. Seems to be just as fast and battery seemed normal.Curious how the stability is on the mini. I have a 13 mini as well and was thinking about finally dipping in, but concerned about impact to battery/heat.
Perhaps, but I think the now defunct Microsoft Works takes that prize! Most redundant statement ever?
We must inform Apple of this error. Because now, as things stand, we can accidentally make calls.¿Alguien puede confirmar si el botón de llamada está nuevamente en la aplicación Teléfono, Recientes?
Not an issue for me. What phone?Face ID has to be re-enabled with passcode alot
How do you mean?
I take 1.37gigs to be big on my 14pro
Not on Three or Vodafone.Any changes to uk operators that support RCS? lol
Oh my…Well I’ll be damned. The first squared notification I saw was the “your iPhone has been updated to iOS 18.0” one. Truly beyond comedy.
It’s not new. This was added in an iOS 17.x version or at least since the first iOS18 beta.
Wouldn't say they are the "exact same software" as the 15 ProMax and 13 mini are vastly different pieces of hardware and capabilities.I ran the update on both a 13 mini and a 15 pro max. Was 1.4GB on the former and 330MB on the latter. Exact same software and OS was on both (beta 6).
The update is wildly differing in size on different phones.
1) Yes. Looks like they continue to overlook this inconsistency.View attachment 2407813Hi, just downloaded iOS 18 public beta 5 on my 15 Plus and I have two questions.
1) In storage, all my icons are “dark mode”. I don’t like it and I haven’t enabled this anywhere. Is this normal? Please see pic.
2) When I activate Siri, I’m not getting the colorful animation around the screen, it’s still the Siri Circle at the bottom. Do you have to activate this somewhere?
Thanks!
Thank you. Oh goodness, so us non-Pro folk don’t even get the animation, let alone Apple Intelligence?1) Yes. Looks like they continue to overlook this inconsistency.
2) That’s part of the 18.1 beta and only for the 15 Pro, not Plus.
Most likely not. The new animation is currently stuck to the AI features.Thank you. Oh goodness, so us non-Pro folk don’t even get the animation, let alone Apple Intelligence?
No way!! I’m in PA and it’s 67 degrees and a nice breeze…drink on the deck!I wish. We were to move to Phoenix, but it fell through. I was so ready to trade my Pennsylvania weather for the SW.

In saying that though, I bet iOS 17 runs a lot better and is more bug free. I bet for that reason it would have better battery life. I’m not sure iOS 18 is a better OS to be honest - it’s ’fine’ but I wouldn’t jump in just yet if battery is your number 1 concern.
I think the icons are supposed to be dark because you are in dark mode.View attachment 2407813Hi, just downloaded iOS 18 public beta 5 on my 15 Plus and I have two questions.
