Yeah, I’m just looking forward to having something new from Apple. But maybe other’s theories about 18.4 having some hints about the new hardware are correct, and maybe Apple will drop the beta today after announcing the new hardware. I would be happy if that would be the case.
My two cents worth, the iPhone SE (or whatever it’s called) by itself may not generate much press interest beyond the tech world, but first beta of new Siri might add to the story and make it more mainstream and generate more coverage.

Okay Apple that silly phone is out of the way, it’s 18.4 time!
The German iPhone 16e page says, Apple Intelligence in German will come in "early April" and that it is already available when setting Siri to English (which is not true yet). Europe launch already in the coming days even without the new languages?
Also in the footnote that it will be available in the beta
Same on the French page, it says "Apple Intelligence will be available in French early April" let's hope it means also available in France (and EU), not only in French ...
Apple confirmed the EU launch for April in December.

I don't remember ever waiting on a beta this long... I'm sure its happened, but this feels really long to me.
I wonder if there will be the ability to enable Visual Intelligence from the action button or control centre on other phones in iOS 18.4?
Surely. 9to5mac already found references in the code for a Control Center toggle.
That would be my guess. 👍🏻. But unfortunately, the only two phone models that would be able to use Visual Intelligence that don’t have a Camera Button would be the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 16E, since those are the only two outside of the iPhone 16 lineup that support Apple Intelligence.
Unless Apple decides to include support for Visual Intelligence on older iPhones, though I’m not sure they will since it’s an Apple Intelligence feature.

Totally agreed. I never recall a wait this long, though iOS 17 was the first beta cycle I decided to hop onto. But I think according to what I’ve heard this is the longest wait ever for a beta, at least an x.4 beta. 👍🏻
