I hear from my internal sources at Apple that they have just opened a brand new Apple polishing cloth to clean the beta release button. They are currently polishing the dust off so Tim Cook doesn’t get his finger dirty when he presses it in about an hour. Oh, just in, they opened a second Apple polishing cloth, there’s quite the layer of dust on that thing… 😂🤣👍🏻

There was a Siri Shortcut floating around that has Launch Visual Intelligence with the logo but it didn’t do anything when you activated it. Assigning it to the action button launched a blank screen who knows if they’ll open it up.

I doubt it tho as you can’t remap a long press of the camera button so it would be available in two places if they let you set it to the action button

Just in, my internal sources shared an image of the beta release button. It will likely take about an hour to get clean…

Yeah, but 18.4 could also allow reassigning the camera control.

I could be wrong but I would say tomorrow. Apple usually can't chew gum and walk at the same time... So they'll want all the focus on the SE for today...... Remember we are talking about the Trillion dollar tech company who still takes their website down to make a product announcement in 2025 🤦‍♂️

They take it down to create hype and excitement, people talk and share when it goes down so all attention is on them. It’s clever.

The reason they take their website down is for suspense. They technically don’t have to, but it helps build up hype for the new product right before it’s announced. It’s actually a very smart marketing strategy.

Ok so why is it dumb?
It's an old schtick thats been overdone in my opinion. For the most part it gets ridiculed online.

Also:

According to recent data, Apple's online store generates approximately $691,234 in revenue per minute, making it one of the highest earning companies per minute based on revenue.
And I know most people will just wait and come back to make their purchase... but there are tons of impulse shoppers who will change their mind. I get that apple is willing to eat this and just write it off as marketing cost...... But in my opinion and again "MY OPINION" It's a dumb useless gimmick, that was cool at first but has lost it's luster and wow factor.

What other companies over use it?

Ridiculed or not, it’s free press and gets people talking.
