The last three years had beta 4 two weeks before beta 5 then it went to weekly until beta 8 where that was up to 2 weeks before the RC. Only iOS/IPadOS/WatchOS is dragging this week in regards to PB.

So much for not having a new beta on a Friday.... (I know it's not the public but still interesting and goes against your claim that apple was "happy" with the current beta).

My point holds: they don’t release public betas on Fridays. Nothing changed in that regard. So much for your attempt to score cheap debating points.
I do remember when they released a final release on a Saturday though due to a crash bug.
Yet you are still wrong (don't need to "score any debate points" since if they were happy with it they wouldn't have released a revised version.... on a Friday).
This update installed very nicely on all devices.

Maybe they will release beta 5 and also the public beta. But it seems all bets are off and might just be public beta.
after the beta 4 two week period, beta 5, 6, 7 should be 7 days each, then beta 8 can be up to 2 weeks before RC
Yeah especially when this emoji bug is still here. Having that in a public beta, apples not gonna hear the end of it. Lol
I think we’ll see PB 2 with the same build as revised DB 4 on Monday/Tuesday. Not holding my breath for DB 5 but it’d be a welcome surprise.
What emoji bug are you talking about? The frequently used emojis still show up for me.
My frequent emojis are there. They don’t update though. It’s basically like how it looks when you have a new iPhone.
The scheduling is FUBAR for a DP5 next week. If memory serves, the DP releases are 2 week intervals and the PB is released the week between... when they go to weekly DP releases, typically DP5 or 6, the PB releases come out a day or two after the DP... if Apple were to release DP5 AND PB2 both next week, there will be a mismatch of builds... so I don't expect DP5 next week.

8/05 - DP5
8/07 - PB3
8/12 - DP6
8/14 - PB4
and so on...

Same here and they are “frozen” in this state, that is if I use an emoticon it does not get added to the recently used lot.
