I read it from somewhere that Quick-Tap is preparing a major update 1.1 very soon.

Hopefully it comes before Christmas.

Sounds great, i found a source and here. I can't find any recent news on their own website. Only existing info that they will fix the GPS/refresh bug in a future update (but that is already mentioned on their website for quite a while).

Do you think it will be approved then by Apple? I sure hope so.
It could be that Apple will removed it from the App Store completely.

I added two other widgets to the topic start post:
-Waze | Free

-Quick Red | Free | Reddit

I also added prices / free to the News and Sports sections in the start post.

I think it's gone.. like the rest of the USEFUL widgets!

It's indeed a shame that Apple didn't approve but reject the Quick-Tap 1.1 update which they submitted and removed it completely from the App Store. We have to work with the widget we got from them.

I also noticed that they removed 'Swipe Dial' quick call widget.
I updated this on the start post of this topic.

I also noticed that some new widgets were approved (for as long as it last they are in the App Store). One alternative to TaptoShare and also a few alternatives for Swipe Dial widget.

Here there are:

-Speed Dial Widget | 0,99 dollar | Seems to be removed from the App Store by Apple | by Zehui Wang

-Dial+ M | 2,99 dollar | by Lee JaeJin

-YoBu | Free | by Harshdeep Singh

-Contact | 0,99 dollar | by Vincent Tourraine

-Quick Post | by Ravi Borra | official website | Free

-Shortcut for WhatsApp Plus | Free | by Aplicativos Legais

-NextThere | Free, in-app purchases | For Australia and some US cities only

iOS 8 Notification Center Widget Megathread

Unfortunately tinycalc is a dumb calculator. Try to input "2x2+2x2=" and see the result... It is said in the app details, that you need to remember this. Not very useful for students, at work...

Check out the official website of TaptoShare here which shows an explanation and also an e-mail account.

I did send an e-mail to the developer as well. No response. Despite the fact that the website says TapToShare will be back, I have very little hope that it ever will, considering the recent lack of interest and communication by the developer.

Yes!! Thanks for this! This is the perfect alternative to TapToShare :)

Thanks so much pacorob!

Your welcome :)

Some other widget updates..

I've noticed Teevee 3 has updated their widget which should now auto refresh (also if you don't have background refresh on).

A few other great (new) widgets are:

- Music Launcher | free, with in-app purchase (1,99 dollar) | by Cromulent Labs (yes, from the guy who also brought the original Launcher widget) | official website

- Sevastian | 0,99 dollar | by Tatsuya Kawasaki | official website | App is (unfortunately) completely in Japanese | it works similar as Quick-Tap and Launcher

I mentioned Super Calendar in another thread and how the widget is looking. It's in beta right now and the functionality is fantastic. The best I've seen in any calendar app so far. Here's a screenshot of mine right now. You can set the day view in either list or scrolling view and you can set the week and month in the widget too. There's options to include a phone dialer so if there is a contact in the calendar event, you can call them from the widget. Super Calendar

Love Super Calendar! I've been beta testing it for weeks now. It's great. Great app and widget. And I agree it's the best Calendar widget.

So would i need a widget to put a quick access button in the notifications dropdown that allows me to toggle "invert colors" on/off quickly?

you can set it as accessibility shortcut to activate or disable it by clicking the home button 3 times.
go to settings>general>accessibility>accessibility shortcut>invert colors

Pommie Pomodoro Timer now has Today Widget

Hi, my Pomodoro timer app Pommie has just been updated with a Today View widget that lets you quickly see the state of the timer. Tapping the progress circle opens the app.
