Everyone is enjoying tons of widgets and I'm just sitting here, waiting for Flipboard to add a widget similar to the NYT one...

Minesweeper is also available as a widget :)

I think it's gone.. like the rest of the USEFUL widgets!

Why does apple remove widgets?
Because the ios devices does not have enough ram?
Battery drain? Or what?

There is plenty of widgets running just fine on android so having troubble figuring out why apple removes widgets! My only thought is ram

It has nothing to do with RAM.
Because Apple does not want/allow widgets to start e.g. other apps such as the Launcher and Quick-Tap widgets could.

See also the developer pages at Apple about widgets in the Notification Center e.g this page.

"If you want to create an app extension that enables a multistep task or helps users perform a lengthy task, such as uploading or downloading content, the Today extension point is not the right choice."

Runkeeper updated to include a widget for the Notification Center...

What's New in Version 5.2
Today Widget
Use RunKeeper’s today widget to see upcoming workouts, start your run and view stats right on your lock screen! To enable the RunKeeper widget, open Notification Center by pulling down from the top of the screen, tap the Edit button at the very bottom of the Today view, and enable RunKeeper. (iOS 8 only)

I love the Yahoo Weather widget, but does anyone ever have issues with the widget going completely blank?

Used this earlier and works well. Pops a "Go Walking" button in there or whatever the last used activity was then once running shows time, distance and for me mins/mile but assume that changes depending settings. Was handy just opening NC from lock screen instead of opening phone then runkeeper.

Very nice. Can we get an option to set the default option to the digital clock view?

Thank you, glad you like it! You can switch to digital clocks, just open the app and tap any of the rows to toggle. (Same as Apple's Clock app)

What about "Time Zones"?

In the "Wdgts" app? I wanted something simpler, with both analog and digital options. Wdgts is cool though. :)

Ok. Will check it out. Cheers.
