Seems like i've found a way to stop that amazing battery drain.
Go to Settings -> General -> Search and uncheck all.

This fixed the battery drain for me. Maybe there are several options under search that could be left enabled but i don't had the time yet to check which exactly causes the issue.

Could you put up some screenshots of battery usage after a day or so of using it please?

Is anyone able to get default apps to show up under the battery usage area? It's only showing third-party apps that are using battery. I've used Safari a lot and it's not appearing.

Battery life for you guys?
This battery is horrible as hell for me. iPhone 6 here

I can tell you that yesterday i installed iOS 9. During the night and after the restore of the Cloud Backup was successfully restored, i plugged the charging cable. After like 5-6 hours i was down on 30 % Battery not doing anything special with the phone then less - normal usage.

So i tried several ways to fix the issue like disabling BT, restarting, disable Background Activities, enabling the Battery Save mode but nothing worked. Now i fully loaded my iPhone and disabled the search like explained and after more then 1,5h doing the same less-normal usage im still on 98%. So what do u think? U need a screenshot for that? :D

Bible app not working in iOS 9, installed it twice and it keeps crashing, even restarted the phone and its still crashing.

ok, but I'm still gonna ask you tomorrow how your phone did... :p

Maybe its not the Holy Grail but i'm already pretty sure its a lot better then before. And all those people out there maybe give it a try today cause they don't won't to wait till tomorrow till i can nearly verify that it really worked :D

I will report but maybe others can also confirm if it worked or not ;)

Works here. The phone is running a bit cooler too.

Thanks!

I successfully installed iOS 9 Beta on my iPhone 5. I'm not a developer.
Yes, I know that it is a beta. And no, it's not my daily driver.
Have leaved it with 100% battery and 15 minutes usage time at work and will see, how it performs until tomorrow.

Disabled all search fields and the phone is definitely running cooler than before. Only time will tell if this temporarily fixes the battery drain until the next beta is released.

UPDATE: After 5 hours of very light usage, iPhone is still draining battery at about 10% per hour regardless of using it or in standby. Reverting back to 8.3 for now.

How did you get access to the beta?

Found the image via Google and installed it with Shift click (I believe) in iTunes.
It wouldn't let me go further on the welcome screen, but then I inserted my old SIM-card and tried it couple times (with and without WLAN) and then it worked :)

Who says this? I wonder, please.
And, since I have updated notes to the latest version, I cannot revert back to iOS 8 again...or I will need to copy those notes to other places. :(

Anyone that knows anything about software engineering and an understanding of how iOS works and calibrates battery usage.

This, can anyone post a list of the features NOT available on the 4S? Thanks in advance!

In notes app, Apple showed something that now we can draw in notes app using some tools available. It's not there on 4S. I assume small screen size is the culprit.
