I also have this issue, I said it yesterday and felt like a weird because no body had the same issue. If I go back to 8.4 b4 I do can search contacts in spotlight but in 9 I can't, even reinstalling. I've tried everything: clean install with no backup, clean install with backup, upgrade from 8.3 with and without backup, upgrade from 8.4 b4 with and without backup and I CAN´T GET IT WORKS! ha ha
Weird that no one else has that problem. I even removed all the contacts and put them back and still only partial results!!

I got an alert on my lock screen this morning with the estimated commute time to work, right before I left. Probably part of that new Proactive assistant thing. Pretty cool.

I suppose those who have no issue with this just because they didn't do search for contacts.

So you have received that proactive assistant notification? Wonderful! I didn't receive any yet!

From my iPad on ios 9, why is there no option for low power mode? I know my battery is at 100% but im positive it never has been there and im normally at a low battery during the week.

What's weird is that I set my iPhone up as new on iOS 9 and this was my first Saturday 8am shift, so I wonder how it knew. iCloud?
Maybe, Apple analyse your calendar event, your frequent visited places, and some other stuff, to predict your possible routine?

100% last night, then i woke up to 1% battery life. Come on apple sort this !
I bet this has been blown up in apple feedback channel, and apple will surely address it. I suspect, they just release the beta behind the version it should be?

Um, I say, I can update my iPad mini back to iOS 9 to see if I can find low power reserve mode in this beta. :(
Ah i see, it may not just be iPad's though but yeah you could give it a try. Would probably make me more annoyed knowing theres nothing i can do to change that lol

I don't know. I didn't have any location on the calendar event, so the only thing I could think of is that it analyzed common routes in iOS 8 and stored that data. But I thought Apple said everything was local on the device.

So what they do is create their own test data, and analyse them, write advanced algorithm, and calculate your possible routine.
They don't collect users data doesn't mean they don't collect employee data.
All above is just my guess. ;)

Nah, Apple is going to leave the battery problems in. I mean, BETA 1 is what they release to the public. They just call it BETA for show and pretend that it's the "testing" version when in reality, BETA 1 is the final product.

I think the point being is how can we believe ios 9 will give us significantly improved battery life. Yet our first beta of ios 9 is awful battery wise. The guys merely posting that a problem he has faced is waking up to NINETY NINE percent of his battery gone (yes, again... NINETY NINE PERCENT)

I dont get how they know this when they aren't anywhere near the GM yet?

Yeah no need for this is there? I'm not a freaking idiot, i know this is beta one but come on losing 99% of your battery when asleep is awful.

It's definitely weird and apple must fix this. This is the complete opposite side of what they claim.

And once again, iOS 9 beta 1 destroys my iPad.
