I have a weird issue with Proactive on the iPad 3 running Beta 3 (spare iPad for testing)

Proactive doesn't seem to be 'Enabled', I have spotlight search but not proactive, I can't even swipe to the right on the home screen to see it. In settings I only have "Spotlight Search" not "Search". I'm just thinking if it's to do with the fact that it's not supported on the iPad 3 or that it's US only at the moment.

Can anyone help clear this up?

Thanks!
Did you just install today? I just got done installing iOS 9 on my phone a few hours ago and don't see it in the U.S. However my iPad that's been on the a beta since beta 1 has it. I'd just give it a little time.

Hmm strange. I've had iOS 9 betas installed since Beta 1, still nothing :(.

I've been following MacRumors for years, decided to create an account! :)

I just found the instructions below in the Apple Support forums. I tried it and it works. I now have Siri Suggestions.

---------
I was able to get the suggestions working again by:
  1. Disabling them in Settings>General>Spotlight Search>Siri Suggestions.
  2. Hard restart of device. (Hold Power and Home buttons until device restarts. NOT DFU RESET)
  3. Re-Enable in Settings>...Siri Suggestions

No dice on my end. Thanks for the info though.

I'll have to try this, must have missed this when reading through.

I believe that apple has purposely disabled it on older devices such as the iPad 3. Both my iPad 3 and iPod touch 5th gen have been missing proactive since beta 1, but my iPhone 6 has proactive. I guess it's planned obsolescence time again.

My iPhone 6 Plus' battery after updating to beta 3 is horrible,
The handset is hot and battery drain really fast.

In fact when I connect it to PC via USB,
the speed of battery drain is faster than charging, that means it's charging, but the battery % is decreasing...

Anyone facing similar issue with me?

Charging via PC USB slot is always very slow as most USB slots don't provide anything like the power of a standard charger, then additionally if you are actually using the device (screen on) the chances are regardless of IOS 9 that the device would discharge faster than it can charge.

The 6 Plus benefits greatly from using an iPad charger if you want fast charging. I'd recommend picking one up for $15 and using that rather than the usb on your computer.

I have iPad charger and it works for me,
However this issue was not happened in beta 2 and previous iOS 8.3,
I think it is one of the issue in beta 3

Low power mode has never been on the iPads with these betas. The iPad has a large battery and I believe it's a design choice by Apple.

I thought that in iOS9 if I swipe to the left at the home screen, I'll get Spotlight/Siri suggestions page, but nothing like that happens to me. Is it disabled in the public beta or on iPhone 4s? Or maybe I understood this feature wrong?

How did you make it work? In B2 it worked fine, updated via OTA and it doesn't work anymore.

Started working on its own after a couple of hours.
I did nothing to make it work.
Now, not working again.
Very screwy.

I don't know if this has been covered yet, but I assume Apple Pay will work well with iOS 9 beta, this 14th (that's if it is coming on this date)
I've read that there's some Apple Pay bugs with iOS 9 beta, but Apple Pay should be enabled for the UK on the 14th with iOS 8.4. We just need banks/shops to be ready!
