When using personal hotspot or on a call, apps do not "adapt" to the new size of the status bar. A lot of overlapping happening and content being overcome by the keyboard. Happens mainly in 3rd party apps. Don't remember this being this bad on other betas.
I notice the same in ios 9.0.2 6+. I use swiftkey

My experience with iOS 9.1 beta 4 has been pretty well except two bugs it will not let me save a contact when I enter in their contact information also when I try to add a contact picture I have to force close the messages app and reopen it before I can view the picture next to the contacts name. overall I think this is the smoothest iOS but there are still little legs and animation here and there among the operating system I really do think if Apple releases a 9.2 or even a 9.3 the experience will be much smoother but for this being a tuneup iOS I expected this to be smooth right out of the gate so I am a little bit disappointed but I have no doubt Apple will get this fixed

Yeah every time I see it, I race to the settings page to see which app is using location services.

Why is compass always calibrating.. I'm sitting upright. :D
I switched off showing status bar icon for system services for now. Got annoyed with the issue.
I don't have the beta installed right now but make sure you report the bug to Apple. Otherwise it might not get fixed.

We will get to use the smoothest iOS 9 when it is at 9.4.5 August next year. But within a month, we will be back to another shizzy release called iOS 10 :)

Hey guys, just updated my iPhone 6plus to iOS 9.1b4 and already seeing a major improvement in snapiness and smoothness! The Phone feels definitely lighter. It's made me love my 6 plus once again. I was having trouble while scrolling and switching apps. Overall completely laggy in better terms. Completely gone in this build. I also "reset all setting" after updating, don't know if this is the reason the phone is running smooth again but it's definitely a difference. There's still a bit of lag on the spotlight but noticeably less! It's not 100% yet but it's getting there. Thanks apple, keep them updates coming!

Please report bugs to bugreport.apple.com

This isn't surprising, this isn't a critical bug, Apple have far more enough bugs to squash. Don't expect it to be fixed for a while.
I don't think it's a bug to start at the most important section in settings.

I ran my iPhone 6 in Low Power Mode all day yesterday since I knew I wouldn't be near any type of outlet until about midnight, and I didn't notice any performance degradation for the first time on iOS 9. Really great. No lag, always fast. I'm very impressed, this is very close to if not public-ready (assuming the spotlight and settings bugs are fixed, which I'm sure will be).

Photos app strange bug, a little thumbnail of the photo you view appears on screen when you try to swipe up to go back to the photo list.

1. Select a photo for viewing
2. Zoom in and out few times
3. Try to go back to the photo library by swiping up the photo. It won't work. Try for few times.
4. The little thumbnail appears over the main photo.

Is anyone else having trouble with twitter notifications? They don't show up in the notifications even though it's all turned on.

That's incorrect. iPhone 5 doesn't support Metal at all.

The iPhone 5 doesn't lag as much on iOS 9 as the newer iPhones with faster chips precisely because of that.

If it lags, it is because there are some things the A6 simply can't handle anymore (multiple layers of blur, etc.).

What do you mean scroll through photos? Like photo library photos?
Yes, currently you can view a photo file but you have to go back and tap on another to view it rather than a normal swipe. Bad UX.

On my 6+ 9.1 Beta 4 is smooth throughout the OS with the one big exception being the app switcher animations. Still dropping frames when scrolling through apps and picking one. For me though, this has been an issue since iOS9 started. With the "reduce transparency"enabled it clears up the issues of course. Still, that shouldnt be a long term fix.

Anyway, the rest of the OS works great! No issues otherwise. I had some lag on 9.0.2 when switching screens but that's gone in 9.1B4. Battery seems ok too. No issues there so far. Pretty stable for me.

The app switcher is soooo buttery smooth on my 6S now, I can't help but stare while I swipe it back and forth.

With iOS 9.0/.0.1/.0.2 when for example I'm watching a video on Youtube in landscape mode, and someone text me on whatsapp, if I have the rotation locked and I open whatsapp, the screen remain in landscape mode and I have to restart the app.
In iOS 9.1 is this bug (If it's a bug) fix?
Anyone?

Same situation happened on me when I was playing a game in landscape mode. Whatsapp notification came in and after I clicked on it, my whatsapp was locked in landscape mode with my auto-rotation off.

I have to turn it on and rotate back to portrait mode. Still happens in iOS 9.1 Beta 4

Don't have time to read through all 8 pages of posts, but I've skimmed and didn't see this.

When I restart my phone, the dock items are all scrambled from where they were. I have to move them back to where they should be. Happens every time and only with the dock items (ie, the music icon moves to the far left and the phone icon moves to the far right and the middle two switch places). Running 6s+.

Could not replicate this. Strange.
