You completely misunderstood what I said. I have moved on to a better moderated site without uptight/ overly controlled/censoring mods/admins I use this forum only as a backup when I am bored. Just offering my two cents on how macrumors supports verbal abuse of those whom don't have Apple apologist mentality.

I agree with your premise to not let people create new/stupid threads- far far too many of them.

But lag is purely subjective to different people with different tolerances and different eyes.

Bugs/fixes are not subjective. It either works or it doesn't; there is no gray and usually little debate if it's a bug or not (some may not be able to reproduce it, but there is clear evidence if something works or doesnt)

So I will agree partly, these beta threads need to be split into actual bugs/fixes and keep performance convo separate.

No one could possibly figure out the bugs/fixes from reading this 7 page mess of lag crap sadly to determine id the update is ok to install.

Here we go again with this BS.
Not BS at all.Control Centre was working SMOOTHLY in 8.4.1.Spotlight Search animation was smooth as butter on 8.4.1.Both of these are lagging in iOS 9 and I cant even see any extra visual effects contributing to this performance degradation. Its clear as daylight

Xcode fps meter does not lie.The YouTube videos showing the performance comparison with 8.4.1 also dont lie.The performance loss is not noticeable to some but that doesnt mean its not there

AGAIN some of us have lives and simply dont care about 2 frames dropped in Xcode. We want to come to an update thread and ACTUALLY READ ABOUT THE UPDATE IF ITS GOOD TO INSTALL OR BUGGY.

Give it up already. We get you're hard on for lag and cannot possibly drop the topic, it's really just old to to listen to now.

Yea I wouldn't hesitate if I were you. Steady improvement from 9.2 beta 4, although still some frame drops here and there. If Apple can't get this translucency issue fixed, I think they need to rethink iOS 10. It hasn't bothered me too badly, but I do notice it. Something similar to the changes they made from Yosemite to El Capitan (mission control as an example) is my hope.

Great thanks, I have reduce transparency set to ON and it's silky smooth in vertical mode in 9.2. however even with reduce transparency ON, if I try 3D touch while having the homescreen in landscape rotation it's super choppy :(

Anyway I never use the home screen in landscape so i'm good. :)

I think the landscape 3D Touch on the 6+ is a known bug; not by Apple but in general. Like beyond lag debate it's noticeably choppy/something wrong with it.

Its the first item in the first post here as a known bug

This happened to me on an earlier update. I think it downloads the more natural sounding voices later. I'll bet yours becomes more like you are accustomed to soon, if not already.
You're right! It's back to normal now. That was strange...

I think it's a resolution thing. The current app you have open when in the app switcher is being shown in its correct full resolution. Apps than are not the "opened" app are very slightly blurry so I guess the lines get a little thicker.
Hmmm...that would explain it. The blur prevents apps in the background from the lines flickering, while the current app has no blur applied. Interesting

Siri sounds strange. Can't quite place the change...but something is definitely different in the tone. It sounds much more robotic and unnatural. Bizarre.

Yeah that is normal. iOS comes with a low quality version (to make the package smaller presumably) then it downloads the full HQ version for your language when on wifi and plugged in. There is an Apple KB regarding that somewhere.

Have you checked in Settings -> Notifications -> Messages -> Repeat Alerts ? Set it to Never if not already.

Oh snap, never noticed that. How long has that been there? Maybe I'm only noticing the double notifications since yesterday cause I've been super busy and don't check messages immediately anymore!

Haha probably, since it's set to that by default when you set up your phone. :)

Cool
Wish that it can be set to vibrate instead of playing the sound as well.
No way to differentiate if it's a new text or a reminder to check.
I used to use an app on Android that would vibrate at set intervals and the amount of times if certain alerts were not tended to and it was invaluable. It had a DND setting as well so it won't remind you about unchecked notifications for a duration of time that has been set.

yes this is lag. I add since iOS 9.2 wiki the bugs (with more details for reproduce), the old thread iOS 8 - iOS 9.1 to bad. no details for reproduce.

Therefore the user here must post better details for reproduce. then I add or other user in the current wiki.

why in iOS 9 so lag? because Metal is not good optimized for rendering from the cpu and gpu, then comes sometimes lag,app switcher lag etc...

Im seeing an benchmark improvement with this beta. With geekbench, the average single core increases by about 70. Multicore increase of 100.

No it's a bug. If it was lag the bad stuttering would be present in portrait and landscape equally as it doesnt work any differently with merely the screen turned.

I can't believe this has't been posted about before..
Has anyone noticed this shameful INCOMPLETENESS of UI development, whereby the menu that pops up when we need to switch between audio devices in control center is STILL in the iOS 7/8 style RECTANGULAR UI?
I mean that should be one of the most embarrassing overlooking in the development of ANY UI. I mean how do you forget that?
I'm sorry about the rant, and I hope people won't start telling us it's a feature.
I've desperately got to point this issue out! :I
Seems like no one bothered reading it beyond the first line lol
