Does anyone reset all settings and or network settings after downloading the beta? Installed it but just curious

Although I don't usually bother with this, I did try to Reset All Settings yesterday, and when the phone rebooted the only setting that changed was Touch ID. It turned off completely, yet all of my existing settings remained in place. Also curious is when I re-enabled Touch ID, both of my fingerprints reappeared. I didn't have to redo them. I did, however, have to re-add my Apple Pay cards. Bizarre.

Now videos continue to play in the background when you pull down Notification Center, Control Center, or a notification banner. I'm not sure if it's a bug or intended but I hope it's intended. I've always wanted this.
no on iOS 9.2 possible. I test video in iOS stock video player or from 3rd video player. this function is not new, I know iOS 8 has this function. Probably since iOS 7 possible.

Has anyone who's has been affected by the iCloud backup could not be completed bug affecting 9.1 and not fixed in 9.2 been able to test whether this has been fixed.

9.2 fixed it for me, or maybe it was just iCloud acting out. I have no idea, but now it works as it should.

Stop being silly. Optimizing older devices requires effort and it is very reasonable to think that optimizing performance for older devices isn't their top priority. It's almost a fact really: the iPhone 4s is unaseble in 2015, no way it was like that in 2011. Is that to be expected? Yes, more or less. Does it mean iPhone 4s owners are imagining things? NO.

To summarize:
- It is a FACT that iOS 9 performs worse than iOS 8
- This does not neccesarily mean Apple did this on purpose.

Your last line is the whole point.

And that I am not disputing at all. The idea that Apple PLANS OBSOLESCENCE is what I was responding to. No way do they PLAN to make the iOS bad on older devices so folks will buy new devices. That was the point. And regarding iOS 9.2 verses 8.4.1 performing worse, it is so minor at this point. But yes Apple did act as though and state that iOS 9 was going to be better performance wise and you are correct it it definitely isn't better but not really all that worse either as some here seem to think. Regarding the 4s, it certainly is far from "unusable".

It seems like apps open a bit faster on Air 2 but still stutters slightly, and many Google apps stutters like when rotating screen in youtube. Not sure if its entirely googles fault or somewhat apples as well..

Yes. which video player you use?
My friend has iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.4.1 and it works. iOS 7 I am not sure, no test device here.
iPhone 6 with the safari player and YouTube. Interestingly enough though my iPad Air 2 does the same in the same in the safari player but pauses in YouTube.

It's seems they have fixed tabs being refreshed but not the content. So you had to hit refresh again to see new messages for example on this forum.

I agree with your premise to not let people create new/stupid threads- far far too many of them.

But lag is purely subjective to different people with different tolerances and different eyes.

Bugs/fixes are not subjective. It either works or it doesn't; there is no gray and usually little debate if it's a bug or not (some may not be able to reproduce it, but there is clear evidence if something works or doesnt)

So I will agree partly, these beta threads need to be split into actual bugs/fixes and keep performance convo separate.

No one could possibly figure out the bugs/fixes from reading this 7 page mess of lag crap sadly to determine id the update is ok to install.

This is EXACTLY it, thank you! I come to these forums to check out how software and hardware are performing for users in the real-world as well as get answers about some things (the thread about the Continuity Activation Tool for my MBP was incredibly informative and I have it working on my machine, to which I'm so grateful). This thread gets hijacked by lag arguments (it's not really discussion because rarely is a solution found that helps multiple users at a time) far too often. Perceptible lag is annoying, I'm not arguing that, but the point to which some of you argue about it is foolhardy. Then, as it escalates to a referendum on Apple's software development and who's an apologist or not is downright childish. Cut that ish out, yo.

Now, back to the point, I'm noticing better animations on my iPhone 6 on the beta. This is most welcome, as I had noticed on 9.2 some of my native and third-party apps seemingly dropping all animations at some point (could just be isolated on my device, but I submitted a bug reports just in case), but that's gone in this beta.

There's a few things I hope Apple cleans up soon (copy/paste dialogs being kinda crazy sometimes, for instance), but after that it'll be very smooth sailing.

need more details for reproduce, I can not add to wiki here.

Ah, ok.

Most notably in Safari, when attempting to select and copy text, the dialog refuses to show up unless I highlight the text again. Sometimes tapping the highlighting scroll will bring up the dialog, but not always. This does happen in other apps too, but more so in Safari.
