Overall app seems a little bit smoother. Spotlight lag search almost non existent now, scrolling almost perfect, opening app almost instant now—little delay compared to previous version.

Control center still lags. Can't say about performance improvement there.

Guess we'll get Christmas present sooner than we expected!

Can no longer send text messages. No clue if this is an issue with AT&T number sync or what but they just sit there and then fail

I have 8.4.1 in one device and 9.2 beta on another device. There's a reason the one device is still on 8.4.1, neither device uses apple music. Safari on an Air 2 using iOS 8.1 wasn't a crash reload machine. lol. Air 2 ran 8.1 pretty darn well when it was released. Don't recall many complaints about performance on the Air 2 with 8.1, most complaint threads were about sound vibration and some screen issues if you pressed too hard on the back.
In my experience, Safari crashed and reloaded on 8. iOS 9 doesn't do that and it's the reason iOS 8 is a faded memory here. I get the quest for perfection in fluidity, but I need my devices to be stable.

iOS 9 does that well and eventually or maybe not eventually, iOS 9 will be fluid enough for your bloodstream and others. I don't know, seeing the threshold being set might not be attainable. ;)

Well since I put 9 on my air 2, its fluid enough whether I like it or not. lol But to be honest, it is fine for what I use it for, just not as fluid as it once was or what it can still be. There isn't an app on the app store that will cause it to choke and probably wont be for years.

Can any developer here explain the Cryptographic Libraries thing to me? These libraries are not similar to the cryptography used with iMessage, FaceTime, etc., right?

I too can't send text messages at all. This could be disastrous! Ugh...

Texts just don't go through. At all.

Anyone else having a problem with side loading projects/apps through Xcode? It installs it correctly but the option under general settings to allow my developer profile is no longer there. I've tried restarting both my phone and Mac multiple times. Installed the public beta profile and the profile option showed up but yet when I try through Xcode my developer profile never appears.

The official News app appeared in beta 1 for me in Canada, and then disappeared in beta 2.

Not laggy at all on the iPhone 6.

Spotlight, CC stutters vs 8.x smoothness (jump to 2:54)

Btw, we're still waiting for that elusive video of iOS9 being the same on devices of certain individuals.

looks like I see some lag there, 9.2 still lagging behind 8.4.1 in alot of things. Sure it may not be by much, but it exists in alot of places. maybe his thumb is touching the icons sooner on the 8.4.1 device, yea thats it. lol

App opening speed is moot anyway, specially if the content is loaded from the network.

The focus is on showing the issue with stuttering when opening CC and Spotlight that certain people claim it doesn't exist and it's butter smooth as on 8.4.1.

Cc is smooth for me. Still seeing light stutter on spotlight. For me not as big an issue as the general lag and random pauses from 9.1

It's too bad it's all lagging quite a big behind compared to iOS 6.1.3. Years later they still can't get back to the performance and smoothness that was there before.

60fps is 60fps. People have been complaining after each major iOS version yes. iOS has though been mostly stutter free with latest hardware. The biggest change since iOS 7 is having to wait for the animation to finish before being able to interact. Stutter has never been an issue for me up until iOS 9.

LOL! That looks so unusable. The entire system is totally crippled. Oh no, time to move over to Android!

I saw some lag the other day. It killed my entire iOS experience and crashed Safari repeatedly.

So, if I can sneak this in between the lag wars, has there been any chance on the third-party keyboard front? For me, the problem areas have been:
- delay and no-animation" pop-in when keyboard loads.
- Keyboard randomly failing to load in apps or reverting to default.
- keyboard frequently reverting in Messages, especially when going directly into app from lock screen.

Any concrete changes anyone has observed in this regard?

On my 6S+ 9.2B2 seems to be making the phone pretty toasty after not using it that long. Anyone else have similar experiences?
