Two observations regarding Siri. First, IMHO voice-to-text transcription seems more accurate to me. Second, a new voice-to-text transcription bug that is new to me in this Beta - dictating "new line" or "new paragraph" does not result in a real time addition of either of those commands; only when additional text-to-be-transcribed is spoken does the new line/paragraph get inserted before the new text-to-be-transcribed.

Checked on an iPhone 6 and iPad 3, both on wifi and VZW LTE; before and after restarts and toggling the relevant settings in the Siri and Keyboard Settings sections. Bug submitted; Siri worked as expected on these devices on the previous iOS 9 Betas. Also, checked on an iPhone 6 and iPad Air (both on iOS 8.4) on both wifi and VZW LTE - Siri dictation worked as expected.

Can anybody tell me if Vine is working?

Specifically, if audio renders in the Share Screen (the last page before you post the actual Vine).
Would really appreciate it if some could let me know.

[Create new Vine // Record Vine & Press ">" Arrow // Review Vine/Add Caption // Does it play audio on this screen? (iOS 9 doesn't at all.. so I've had to downgrade to 8.4 every time)

Thanks!

I get automatic downloads options blocked in settings, anyone else?

I am sure you have low power mode turned on.
As written under the setting for automatic updates.

Turn it off and the toggle will work again!?

Awesome...

Mail's All Trash folder now correctly has the Edit, Delete All option.

Also, my Bluetooth to car now works properly and doesn't keep dropping and reconnecting over and over.

iBooks now displays chapter titles of audiobooks.

Also, a few of the Apple Watch bugs were resolved by just installing the iOS 9 beta 5.
Haptic feedback during turn-by-turn navigation is back.
Hey Siri is back.
Both without installing the new Watch OS2 beta.

Music is MUCH better. Previously, even in 8.4, downloading songs was a disaster. If you had over a couple hundred songs going, it would lock up and take hours to finish. It was like every song was pinging to see if it could download and it bottlenecked everything. I've been testing the latest beta and downloads work as expected.

Edit: Also, the Music app doesn't cause the whole system to lag when the next song starts. Nice.

  • Page forward in Safari back to usual gesture (swipe left)

Actually it's not back, it was still there in dev beta 4 and possibly earlier.
  • Slide-over only appears with a swipe from the center of the right edge of the screen.
  • To do a page forward like in iOS 7/8, you have to swipe from the top or bottom right edge.
When you do a page forward, there'a a little tab with an arrow that appears on the center right, that is supposed to give you a hint that slide-over is triggered from the center only.

During beta 4, I triggered it several time by accident, wondering why I could suddenly do the page forward swipe in Safari. It took beta 5 for me to figure how it worked, so maybe they made the top and bottom swipes easier to trigger now and people are starting to notice it.

Back to search does not appear if you select to open an app. It only show if you select a result that it's not an app. I think it's a good compromise. If I search for an app, like Facebook, I want to open it and not to go back. But if I search for a word in a mail maybe I have to try more often and I get a back to search option.

Just updated my post with a screenshot. I was using iBooks on beta 4, pretty sure it's new in beta 5, unless I'm losing my marbles.. lol.

Yep, sure enough.
I wasn't looking for an actual reading theme -- thought you meant that the app itself was now themed Gray and white.

It's back on the iPhone. Before b5, it was missing from the iPhone.

Weather app's icon is messed up.
Third down from top, on the left.
