Thanks! I think i will hold off on downloading for a few weeks after the GM though. When I was on beta 3 I was only getting 3 and on 8.4.1 I can get around 6.

Is it considered planned obsolescence when performance is bad right out of the gate? I don't think iOS 9 is any better or worse than 8 .0 was on a brand new 6+. The real issue is its specs.

iOS 9 will have its kinks ironed out much like iOS 8 did.

The only sad thing is that by the time iOS 9 is at its peak in terms of performance, it'll be replaced by iOS X and we'll go round again. For those who want optimal performance, the clear option for now is to stay on iOS 8.4.1.

Just do it. You will need to anyway, come 16th.
Battery life improved significant in b4-5.

There will never be an iOS X, it will be iOS 10.

I hear you, that's another reason I hesitated installing the GM on 8.3 I get excellent battery life on my 6

I feel it's smoother on my iPhone 6 and my phone is still hot and restoring apps. looking forward to seeing how well it performs once settled

My only performance issue is the ever so slight delay between tapping an icon and the app opening. There's a definite, perceivable, delay. Slight, but definitely there. iPhone 6 here too.

There's always one. He's probably one of the people who calls it "OS Ex" and doesn't realise it's Roman for ten.
I pronounce it OS 'ten', as its supposed to be pronounced. The next release of iOS will be version 10. I doubt VERY much that they will call it iOS X. And yes I do realise X is the roman for ten. I'm not stupid!

OS X is a brand name. iOS X makes no sense.
OS X may be a brand name but that doesn't mean iOS X doesn't make sense. X means 10. in conversation iOS X sounds exactly the same as iOS 10. anyway, nothing to get worked up about...

Thats better, you DOUBT. You don't know for sure, neither do I. Stop replying to people in a factual tone. You know as much as me which is nothing. Let's stay on topic now rather than bickering like a couple of school girls.
