Your phone was indexing itself, also explains why it heats up.

It didn't heat up :s. Install 9GM from scratch. Was dying fast. 9.1Beta from scratch, wasn't dying. It's actually down to 97% now after 40mins, not too bad.

I just don't think Apple will call it iOS X. What happens to the release after that? OS X is a brand name, and the version is a name. It would more sense for them to just carry on with iOS 10, 11, 12, etc.

iOS XI per chance?

I updated 3hrs 40mins ago, battery currently at 95%.

If it wasn't because of all those constant Fb and iMessage alerts still coming from last night's event,
it could very well be sitting at >98%

My only performance issue is the ever so slight delay between tapping an icon and the app opening. There's a definite, perceivable, delay. Slight, but definitely there. iPhone 6 here too.

I had that in the gm too. But after updating to 9.1 and letting my phone settle down I don't get any delay when opening apps now on my 6

Just thinking.. 9.1 beta 1 has to be wayyy better than the GM.. considering that they may have been working on it for 3-4 weeks longer than the GM..

Also 9.0.1 is going to b a great update..

Lastly... They really should ship the phones with the bare minimum.. just install the phone app and maybe messages.. include a strip down version of the iOS.. so that when a customer gets their phone, they can use it.. but then have to download the rest of the operating system.. Heck.. just have the previous operating system installed.. 8.4.1 lol.. And then have them update to iOS 9 when the device arrives.. they literally can tweak the OS up until the day it ships..

Link or search terms to find this other torrent?

don't bother.. it stopped too..it reached 14 megs down though.. only torrent that I downloaded was 9.1 beta.. and that was an accident..
I wish someone on here with the GM for the 6 plus would upload it to dropbox...

Had an issue where it originally restored everything except my apps. They're loading now, but very slowly. (Using iPhone 5s)

My only beta 5 issue is resolved. With Beta 5, if I had my phone charging and attempted to use it, I would lose battery. Now, even with it indexing and loading apps and me using some of the apps that have already transferred, it still charged at the normal pace I would expect it to do so this morning on 8.4.1.

So does iOS 9 now perform well on everything like everyone who was telling me to wait for the GM said it would? It should run as well as if not better than iOS 8 on literally everything. For the a7 devices it should run better than iOS 8 because of metal, and for older devices, iOS 9 adds literally nothing so it should be as fast as iOS 8.

You're on the iPhone 5, what did you expect?

Haven't installed it yet, but as far as I have read here, the performance is the same as beta 5, AKA a far cry from what Apple promised. (6 Plus here)
