why do people keep insisting on this?
why is this even necessary?
it does nothing to the operation of the iPhone as iOS isn't designed that way.
If you have an app that is playing up sure but ALL your apps playing up at once? you have bigger problems
Just think of it as ctrl alt delete or force close thats all it is.

Honest my two big hopes are:

1) Fix bugs and improve stability.

2) Get Safari up to snuff on web standards. These webkit prefixes are getting ridiculous, it's time to start getting onboard with ES6, and please improve remote debugging.

Buy a good dictionary and thesaurus app, or use the web.
As for this voicemails on Macs etc, why can't you just use the phone that you presumably have in your pocket at all times? I have no idea why people need absolutely everything mirrored onto every device they own.

Well let me tell you why...what might work for you doesn't necessarily work for everyone, my friend!
The point is that I don't want to have to always keep my phone with reaching distance of me when I'm within my own office or home, especially when my very capable MacBook Pro is in front of me to do the job. I mean, why not? Those of us who don't have a need for those features don't have to use them (such as yourself), but that doesn't mean that others wouldn't find these features useful. Especially now that we do have access to *most* phone features, it feels unfinished that we don't have access to them all, and defeats Apple's proffered selling point of being able to leave your phone in your bag if you still need it to access voicemails from missed calls.

As for the dictionary...well, I did already purchase one - when I bought the built-in dictionary that came with my phone! :p  My point is that I don't want to have to purchase another whole dictionary to be able to view this content on its own. In fact, I did download a standalone dictionary/thesaurus app, but it's dumb that I hve to take up extra storage space and/or connect to the Internet in order to view its content, when a perfectly good dictionary is already built into the OS.

In summary, just because an individual such as yourself would find no use for a requested feature, it doesn't mean that the idea is dumb or that others wouldn't benefit from its inclusion. There are plenty of features in iOS and OS X that I don't personally use much, but know that many others likely find them very useful :p :p

Music App FTW

Yeah we need a new Music app bring everything back together via like a itunes library thing maybe merge the app store and itunes store into one store.

1. Cross Fade Music

2. Customizable Control Center

3. Ability to delete application caches

4. Ability to delete iTunes Match cache without having to sign out of iTunes Match.

5. Redesigned Music Application

6. Ability to delete stock apps (How many years have we all wished for this?)

7. iPad split screen

8. Less space requirement to install

9. Widgets on Lock Screen

10. Post to Twitter/Facebook from Notification Center again.

No spinning data wheel in Safari. Sort. That. Out.
Optimised battery life.
Landscape glitches and screen freezing on the 6+ eradicated.
Browser and app reloading minimised as much as possible with the 1GB of RAM.

Given how the sandbox model of OS X works, I think there is a chance we will see something like Folder Expose Mode as an extension to the Document Picker's Open mode. That is, you can choose to "expose" your custom folders in your iCloud Drive to an app via the Document Picker, so that you can use them as if they were native to the app. Like Folder Aliases, but secured by the walled garden of iOS, perhaps. With this, people may finally use iCloud Drive with their own folder structures, while maintaining a single copy of files across all apps that have an alias.

Join by an iCloud Drive Finder for iOS to navigate files and tags, manage the drive and the app folder aliases and perhaps provide optional cloud-based, full-text-searchable Spotlight similar to Evernote. Then bring online-only, on-demand syncing folders and files to the iCloud Drive on the Mac, and the iCloud Drive would now make much, much more sense.

Well some of you already know I am DEAF but many of you did not know I am legally blind. I have few complaints especially for iPad and iPhone.

-Messages on locked home screen I am not a fast reader so every time I open Smart Cover there was many messages on locked screen and locked screen just closed so soon I wish locked screen give me extra time like 10 to 15 sec so I can read all messages. You know what I mean?

-Instant HotSpot I wish it would work with ANY devices like Android because I have a hotspot on my LG G Pad. Oh wait is this for OS X Yosemite? Sorry my bad.

That is my two complaints. :apple:

the OPTION to "hey siri" without being plugged in. Give me a warning box about battery life if need be, but I REALLY want to be able to just pull out my iphone and "hey siri".

If not for the Apple Watch, they definitely would. However I think they'll leave out that kind of functionality in order to push said watch.

Fix the today screen so it stops showing yesterday's calendar events. :)

Also, fix the today screen weather part of the widget so it ALWAYS shows the current temperature.

- New Music app that makes sense
- Bug Free!
- Customizable Control Center
- Dark/Night Mode (System Wide)
- Choice between black/grey keyboard or white/gray keyboard
- Close All apps (could be quite easy done the 'home' screen in the multitask view closes every app)
- Implement public transport in Apple Maps
- Apple Pay in more countries (Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, China, Italy, Australia, NZ, Finland, .....)
- Being able to hide/delete some pre-installed apps (stocks, Newsstand, iBooks, Health, Podcasts)
- Customizable EQ

My biggest wish is Night Mode across the entire iOS. Other than that,

- Ability to remove stock apps

- Be able to lock apps with Touch ID

- Siri inprovments by far! Like voice recognition

- Also speed up the animations...I feel like they are way to slow

my wishlist for iOS 8 would include...

- Deteteable stock apps (or at least downgradeable without jailbreaking) [Mainly for iBooks app]
(at a minimum allow us to have our wooden bookshelf back!)

-Custom icons (without using a 3rd party website/app)

-glitch free

-Improved music app (iOS 6 design prefered)

-Multiple users

-Dark mode for my homescreen

-Set wallpapers without scaling

-Option for "Classic mode" to resemble Steve Job's design (mainly in wallpaper)

-Control lock screen actions (enhance how your lock screen turns on and off with second tweeks)

-Back up nested folders to iTunes (such a pain when you have to re-organize them after updating a app while teathered.)

-more apps per folder (why 9?)

----------

Completely redesign the OS:
- go back to iOS 6 (scrap iOS 7 and 8)
- if possible, improve it a bit :)

YES exactly! :)
