my wishlist for iOS 8 would include...

- Deteteable stock apps (or at least downgradeable without jailbreaking) [Mainly for iBooks app]
(at a minimum allow us to have our wooden bookshelf back!)

-Custom icons (without using a 3rd party website/app)

-glitch free

-Improved music app (iOS 6 design prefered)

-Multiple users

-Dark mode for my homescreen

-Set wallpapers without scaling

-Option for "Classic mode" to resemble Steve Job's design (mainly in wallpaper)

-Control lock screen actions (enhance how your lock screen turns on and off with second tweeks)

-Back up nested folders to iTunes (such a pain when you have to re-organize them after updating a app while teathered.)

-more apps per folder (why 9?)

Sorry to say, but we will not see the wooden bookshelf in iOS again, or exactly what we had for the music app before. Apple has moved on from the skeuomorphsm and as a result, we have to as well. They wouldn't completely redesign the OS and then go right back to where they were, makes no sense. Sadly.

However if they allowed a choice between the classic design or the current one, that would be nice. Although it's highly unlikely. More likely than entirely scrapping the new design though. Still most likely not gonna happen.

And more than 9 apps can be in a folder... You can have multiple pages of 9 apps per page. Unless you are just saying you want more than 9 per page.

Fix the pausing of the fitness tracking so it actually pauses it.

Right now, all it does is stops the dashboard from updating while still tracking everything.

Then when you turn it back on, all the data it recorded dumps to your dashboard instantly.

I don't think this requires a firmware update but I don't think it would happen without one. I think it is time that Apple increased the amount of free gb you get with iCloud.

iOS 9 Wishlist

- Ability to block calls from caller-id unknown without activating "Sleep" or DND feature (Android has had this feature for years already)

- Ability to open CarPlay on my iOS device when it's mounted on my car dash/windscreen using bluetooth to connect with the Car stereo (so no need for extra/new head unit)

- Ability of the CarPlay app to keep an eye on the road signs if my iOS device is mounted on my car windscreen while driving - for instance keep track of the speed limit signs as they appear on the road and not only rely on GPS speed limit info

- Ability for CarPlay to enable an events camera feature to snap photos or video of road users in certain events

- Allow my iOS device to recognise had gestures while driving (if it's mounted on the dash or windscreen) so that I don't need to tap my screen for anything, for e.g. to answer a phone call it could be as easy as saying "answer" or using my vertically pointed right hand index finger from a left to right motion to answer and my vertically pointed left hand index finger from right to left to dismiss a call or something like that (other than having steering wheel button integration only)

Seems many people here would be suited for Android given all the customisation and android lock screens they want - that is never going to happen Sorry!

-Being able to set default apps
-Custom iOS installation (choose which apps you want installed or not)

Now those two is all i would like added to iOS plus performance enhancements,
and if 8.3 b3 is anything to go by in terms of performance, iOS 9 will be great!

Ability to delete mass emails at one time, not having to scroll through and mark emails as read before deleting…plain and simple.

Cross-fade control on music playback as well as EQ setup would be nice also…

IOS 9 most important feature I wish to have

Hi all ,
What I really want for IOS 9 is to be snappy as IOS 6 was. I think this is the most important feature I need.
back with iOS 6 u were moving pages, exit and enter apps like you are moving a paper. It was the most advantage feature IOS has against android but after IOS 7 it became slower and heavier.

New features are nice but without compromising the performance Thats is my opinion do you agree ??

1. Option to disable "low battery" notifications.
2. Improve stability/speed/performance, that includes battery life.
3. "Theme Store" where you can get free/paid iOS themes, widgets, just like the AppStore but themes/widgets only.
4. Option to delete stock apps.
5. iOS birthday animation/notification, on the persons birthday they'll get a full screen "Happy Birthday" animation and a Siri joke or fun fact about the persons name or date of birth, I think that would be cool/funny.
6. "Hey Siri" even when device is locked.
7. Beautiful animated widgets (I think at this point that's a must).
8. Option to change wallpaper automatically every 10, 15, 30min, just like macs.
9. FIX THE BLUETOOTH.
10. Passcode to protect ANY app.
11. Customizable Control Center.
12. "Clear All" button to exit all apps at once.
13. Include Photo Booth in the stock camera app.
14. "Guest Mode" lets say if I give my phone to someone I only want them to use a specific number of apps that I set up, so when they'll unlock the phone they'll only see for example (safari, calendar, app store, weather, notes, stocks) etc. you get the idea.
15. Animated wallpapers.
16. Notification about my daily route to work/school, for example I want information about traffic, weather etc. without using any maps app.
17. Blue shift key.
18. Option to download files through Safari.
19. Complete overhaul for Music and Game Center apps.
20. Dark Mode, incase there won't be a "theme store".

12. "Clear All" button to exit all apps at once.

This is a constant battle with people but this isn't necessary. Apple cleans up the memory when the OS believes it necessary. The view is just a "most recent" list for all intents and purposes.

Why does apple give you the ability to swipe up? To solve problems with specific apps giving you an issue to start it over again.

3. ......

Some really good suggestions (especially the small ones like the blue Shift key)

I'd add:

1. Ability to choose default camera app for use on lock screen.
2. Remember that I've made the decision to turn off an app's data and quit notifying every time it loads if it's off.
3. Add ON/OFF option in Notification Center for lock screen previews of all apps (hear that Gmail?).
4. Finally create an option where you can scroll quickly to the bottom of the screen like tapping on the status bar works for scrolling to the top.
5. Fix the lock screen security so after selecting a more than 4 digit code the phone just opens (like pre iOS7) instead of additionally having to hit OK for the code to be accepted.
6. Allow for more columns of icons on larger screens. Why is using 6 icons in the iPad dock acceptable but not on the Home screen?

Also ability to have shutdown/restart in control center instead of pressing the power button.
Ability to do something as powerful as that would not only need to be more than just a press of some single control but also needs to be tied to a hardware control so that you would be able to do it if your device is unresponsive.

Hey, will somebody send the final wishlist (or a link to this thread) to Tim Cook via e-mail? Or, well, if anyone has his telephone number... Because here we have what most users want, and Apple should listen us.

By the way, let me introduce a feature: Smooth and flawless integration of third party keyboards, without lag or bugs in their initiation.

Bugfix of the photo app. Since IOS8 all events and faces are out of order. The pics synced over iPhoto from a DSLR have incorrect time, but only in the photo app, all 3rd party apps are showing the correct time of the pics. Function to show all exif data in the photo app. Searchfunction in the photo app for faces and picname.

While syncing the amount of 'other' increases and cannot be deleted.

Healthapp should be able to show steps and floors like 3rd party apps can do.

After restore of a backup, the info of touchid is lost, even if the backup is password protected to store all passwords.

Today, I've spent a day in a conference center.
My colleague (Samsung Galaxy) and me (iPhone) tried to access their WIFI network so we could check our email and stuff. Also, I wanted to remote control my keynote presentation from my iPhone...
Long story short, my colleague logged in and never looked back - while I was forced to control my keynote presentation by hand (keyboard) and was actually online for 15 minutes tops. I've tried numereous times afterwards but I really had better things to do

BTW, I downgraded to 8.1 because 8.2 (in my case) was even worse on WIFI.

So, for iOS9, my personal wish is a wireless connection that works. You know, like the Samsung Galaxy.

What is everyone's huge problem with the music app? I like it.
Well, if they bring back Chapter-Support for audio books (that worked perfectly in the past...and was for no known reason [did not even get a reply from support] dropped....first on the iPad and later on the iPhone....stupid decision!!!) I'll be happy with it too...other then that...optional dark theme and bug fixes would be enough for me
