iPad 3G - Apple Store availability

Ipad 3G waitlist

I reserved mine on Tuesday in store. Nothing yet (Fri) I stopped by the store today and they said that people are not great about coming in a picking up their order so then you have to wait 24 hours and then they re assign them to those next on the list....Maybe tomorrow...
 
I was at my local store yesterday (Macomb, MI) and they were wiped out of all WiFi models. My dad was looking for a 16GB WiFi. However, when I had to get my 64GB 3G exchanged for dead pixels, they apparently had some in stock. We did the "reservation" for a 16GB WiFi and I got a similar e-mail about the iPad "being here before we know it." I find that hard to believe :D

I had an Apple employee tell me the same thing when I made my reservation....10 days ago.
 
I went to the Apple Store today in Ann Arbor, MI to check on my reservation..again. They said that the ones that were waiting to be picked up were ordered on May 1. So its looking like at least 7 days.
 
I am at about 10 days waiting in Tampa. It's kind of ridiculous, but oh well. I have the Wifi model to mess around with.
 
Reserved 3G 64gb on May 5th at CT Westfarms store. Got my notice of arrival today! iPad in my hands this evening. =)

man...that's not fair! i reserved last monday at westfarms mall too! i haven't receive any email..
 
I just got my email about my 32gb wi-fi + 3g being available in the SOHO NYC store today for 24 hours til tomorrow (May 11) - too bad I picked one up last week from tekserve so have no need.

If anyone wants to call and find out if a reservation can be transferred I will gladly do so.

I reserved on May 4th at night in two different Apple stores for the 64G 3G and received my email this afternoon....Syncing now! I am located in the Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina area....
 
Anyone receive the "Notify Me " email in the No VA area lately?

05/05 afternoon at the 5th ave store. still nothing. for ipad 3g 32gb. anyone else similar?
 
My guess is that they're stockpiling them for the rest of the world.

So we are short here, after the initial launch.

Makes sense?

Maybe they just don't want to piss off half of the world, and perhaps they were behind schedule.

It's hard to say when this would change if it's the case.

By half a day after 3G launch, none of the Apple Stores in the DC area (I contacted 6 of them) had any 3G models in stock, in any size. I put my name on a list (midday Saturday, day after launch, May 1st) and it's now been over a week and still they haven't contacted me.

None of the 6 or 7 Best Buys in the area had any in stock either. Nor did any of the Apple resellers. It's a complete wipeout in the nations capital trying to get one.
 
Put a notify list for a 16gb 3g on 5/3 and haven't received an email yet. It's over a week now, is that typical? I'm hoping any day now as my wife is getting impatient every time I use hers :eek:, and I'm itching to jailbreak this puppy.
 
I reserved my 3g 64GB iPad last Monday, the 3rd, and got the email this morning that it was in. Michigan Ave store in Chicago.
 
I reserved a 16-3G on May 1, and I'm still waiting. I don't think we've had any reports of a 16 coming off the list yet.
 
I reserved a Ipad 3g 64gb on Sunday May 2nd and still nothing. I'm in MA and I've checked all apple stores and Best Buy's in the area and they have nothing and it's been like that for days. I spoke to a store manager at my local Best Buy and he told me they haven't received a shipment in since Monday May 3rd.
 
Well I can confirm that Apple Store King Of Prussia (PA) http://www.apple.com/retail/kingofprussia/ got some today.

I'm in the UK but a colleague has bought me a 3G 64GB, iPad Dock and iPad Camera Connection kit. :cool: :D

Phone call was a bit cheeky though; "Yeah we've got it and those accessories you wanted. Activated it on one of the Macs in the store. We're now sat outside using it on Apple's WiFi"

They better not bloody scratch it!
 
I got on the waiting list April 30th for a 64gb 3G and still haven't heard anything. I've called local Apple Stores, Beat Buys, and MacTalk and no one has it. I'm in Port Hueneme, CA, this sucks! I have the invisibleshield for it and no iPad! :(
