iPad 3G - Apple Store availability

@Westyfield2, When did you sign up on King of Prussia list? I added my name in the store first thing last Tues (May 4th) for the 32GB and haven't heard a word. Calling the store was no help either - they just claim they haven't gotten any.

Which MA store did you reserve it at?
 
I reserved it at the Natick Collection store. I called on Friday and they told me they are running about 3 to 5 days and that I should get an email on Friday or Sat. at the latest. Then I called yesterday to check and they told me it's now 5 to 7 days out from date of reservation and to expect an email today. Well I'm still waiting.

It seems that most locations are out of 3Gs. Best bet order from the online store and enjoy your wait.
 
I've been following this thread since last week and have been grateful for all the feedback it has received.

If it helps, I was placed on the notify me list at the Glendale Galleria Apple Store (Glendale, Southern California) on May 4th around 6:50pm and received the iPad is ready to pickup e-mail Monday evening, May 10th at about 6pm. From what I gathered at the store, they received a massive load of 3G's in late this afternoon.

Hope this helps someone who is patiently waiting for their iPad!

I almost forgot to mention I signed up and got the iPad WiFi+3G 64GB.

Fri, 07 May 2010 18:29:04 (PDT) was when they sent me the email saying they'd done it - so sometime Friday afternoon. At the time King of Prussia only had 32GB WiFi in stock.
 
Here is me playing the waiting game... >.> I should give my local apple store a call. Its like waiting foe my atb bar to fill up. This is out rage!!!
 
Just a heads up, Apple Store in Freehold Mall NJ just sent me an email saying my 64 Gig 3G is in. I ended up getting it in Bridgewater Friday. So if anyone is looking for one let me know, I'll either PM my full name so you could take my spot, or I'll just call them and tell them to remove the reservation if they require ID.
 
Apple Store Walden Galleria, NY is completely sold out of both the cheaper wifi only model and the 3G model.

They require an ID or at least match your credit card name to the reservation. At least that's what they did when I picked up mine last Sunday.
 
Memphis TN

The Apple store in Germantown, East Memphis has been getting them, it just seems there is a big waiting list, as I've been waiting for over a week now.
 
Hey how long is the wait normally for a 3G ipad?

I reserved a 16GB 3G on Saturday (For my mothers birthday the 18th of this month) and really am hoping it shows up and I can get it before then :-/

Whats the general wait time around the country?

I'm in Mesa Arizona, by the way.

Good luck, they told me it could be over a month.

on wait list at 5th ave store for 32gb 3g on 5/5. got the email at lunch time today.
6 day turnaround.

interesting, I got on the waitlist for 32gb 3g at west 14th (meatpacking) apple store on the morning of 5/5. I wonder if Manhattan received a shipment today...crossing fingers. Anyone else heard from the west 14th waiting list recently?
 
I am in Twin Cities. Put my name on the list on May 1st for a 16GB 3G and am sill waiting:(

Yikes, what part of the country is that in? I mean, when I talked to them they just said "A few days" and nothing more, just pushed me over to the reserve desk and told me just to reserve it there....

The store in Kansas City. They told me it would be much faster to just order online. Otherwise I'd be looking at 3-5 weeks for in-store pickup.
 
I was told "probably 2-3 days" when I put in a reservation in suburban DC. 11 days and waiting now, no iPad yet. This is for a 16 GB 3G. I think if I don't get an e-mail by the close of business hours tonight I'm just going to order one from the Apple website.
 
I'm so glad I found this forum because I'm really frustrated. I've been on the reserved list now since Monday, May 3rd. So, eight days. I reserved a 3G 32 GB at the UWS store in Manhattan. Sounds like I went to the wrong place because I think I read here that several of you have gotten the same one in less time at other locations. I'm so bummed. 8 days? That's ridiculous when the email says it would be here before you know it.
 
I just talk to one of those apple workers. They said they have more than one shipment per day I mean they said sometimes they have more than one shipment per day O_O freaking tourist!!!!!!! Go back to the mainland! Lol tomorrow I'll be a dumb idiot and see if I can snag an iPad in the morning. I need mines nowwwww. Come on this week. Sorry for my bad English, I only had 3 hours of sleep and being day dreaming about me holding my own iPad! >.>

Mine made me drive 20 miles there to reserve it :-/

Che, when I order mine (Which will probably be just wifi, thanks to iphone tethering) I'll just have to order online, its not worth the worry...
 
This is madness. Lol. That same person told me the list of people that reserve goes by quickly. Darn you tourist people that visiting here!! Lol jk I also over heard a lady talking to some person on the phone to pray for her that she'll get one. Lol XD I'm still here right infront of apple store. Darn tourist!! Lol
