It took me around 2 months to decide the iPhone 6+ wasn't for me.Does it really take more than 2 weeks to decide if you want to keep something though?
Unless the delay swayed a buyer to a Chromebook, I don't think they care one way or the other...as long as you end up buying an iPad from them.

Just checked Apple.com - the smartfolio keyboard is listed as compatible with both the 11 inch Pro and 10.9 Air 4.Any confirmation of the 2018 Smart Keyboard/cover fits the 2020 Air? (Camera position looks right but Apple isn’t against moving things a millimeter off just to break accessory compatibility).
There's research and then there's using a product day in and day out and getting fed up with all the little annoyances.I usually do enough research to know if a product is for me before I even buy it! ?
Seriously though, I don't think I've ever returned a purchase.
I’m inclined to think they’ll just release it on Friday with no heads up and that’s according to Prosser but with his track record, god knows. If it’s not out by Friday, then I’m just gonna assume apple will release it on the 31st just to piss us all off.So no solid release date yet?
Are you asking me if 2 months isn't a better timeframe in which to judge the viability of a piece of hardware? It is. It most definitely is.Does it really take more than 2 weeks to decide if you want to keep something though?
His track record is he's right 78 percent of the time. That's a good track record.I’m inclined to think they’ll just release it on Friday with no heads up and that’s according to Prosser but with his track record, god knows. First few weeks with the 6+, I was like "The battery is so awesome, I'm sure I can get used to the size". By the second month, I was already cursing it and was absolutely ready to go smaller. ?
That said, I think the only time I returned an iPad was when I got one that was DOA.

Given the new A14 chip is being made by 1 plant, and they've just announced iPhones using it I'd imagine part of this drawn out delay is to give them a bit more buffer time to get as many manufactured to meet demand for both devices over the holidays.
Yeah been there done thatThat's where I'm at now. I have a 7th gen 32GB right now, and I needed more space so was thinking about getting the 128GB 8th gen for $429. What's that? For $170 more I can get the much faster and upgraded new iPad Air? I have to do that! Wait...that's only 64GB, so I'll have to get the 256GB for $750. But for only $50 more I can get the iPad Pro 11" in 128GB, which is perfect for me! Wait a second...
Does anyone know if the iPad Air 2020 supports external drives/flash drives like the Pro?
We do have to keep in mind that there hasn't actually been any delay as far as we know. Apple said "October". We may have hoped or even expected early or mid-October, but that's on us. We can't say there's been a delay unless it's still not available on November 1st. That being said, Apple obviously knew their own production situation when they announced the Air 4 last month. If it does end up being delayed (and I don't think it will be) it's really odd that they couldn't anticipate a problem just a month away.
I don’t see why not, USB-C has way more functionality then just for charging, even when they were on Lightning, storage accessories were made specifically for lightning so USB-C should work with other accessories.
Yeah, but since they are making their own chip, they don't have these leaks about production issues or shipping delays. And who knows if the A14 doesn't have something possibly flawed about it...I mean, honestly no one has had one or experienced the products. Remember, the old keynotes used to introduce the products and have working demos for everyone to play and experience...no one has seen these products outside of the videos. The news on the Apple T2 security flaw shows how terrible it can be to have a an Apple silicone to have an unpatchable flaw in it. Just saying, it's maybe a long shot, but it could happen. We do have to keep in mind that there hasn't actually been any delay as far as we know. Apple said "October". Yeah been there done that
But did Apple say “October 2020”? ?
Good catch. ? Like almost everyone else, I thought it would have been released by now.Ha ha.
They did say, "next month" during the September event.
