It's ironic that if you actually wanted to watch the Oscars on the iPad, you couldn't. You'd just get a blue lego block.

I guess the question there would have to be: would you be better off?

I like the ad but agree it could have been a bit slower, and it could have shown off some of those blue lego blocks as it went.

Steve Jobs in a suit. An unusual sight indeed. I kinda dig the bold, round glasses.

Yep, the news is usually that Apple is involved in another lawsuit, but a dinner suit is quite a different story!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Nice commercial. Very appealing.

Honestly, I though it was meh. The song did nothing for me. The songs in the MacBook Air and early 2007 iPhone commercials did way more for me than this did.

Uh...? Feel free to explain...

Damn. It self explanatory. You cannot see...what people will do, the future of the ipad, etc. What you can and cannot see is irrelevant. If you could see you would be in the driver seat of a company that makes some great products.

i can't wait for the ipad to go on sale so everybody can by one and we can stop hearing from these "experts" who tell us that nobody should buy one.

Just watched the ad.

In-friggin-dredible. What a beautiful experience it'll be to use it. Damn. And I thought the iPhone is impressive . . .

To be honest, I was a little unsure about getting one.
But.

That video has sold it! Looks freakin fantastic! Email looks great too!

I now can not wait!!!

He means you're lacking in imagination and can't see beyond 2 minutes from now.

No, he, as perhaps you fail to see that the product will be so good that it will take on some of the multimedia tasks now done by MacBooks; more than what can now be done with the iPad with its current limitations.

I just translated what he said. The debate you two are having is between yourselves.

The ipad may be the final stroke in America's obesity problem. The product will work so well no one will need to leave the couch. ;)

Or... It might just help inspire people to get outside and enjoy a good book.
Or a good movie...
Or a foreign city...

People really need to think outside of the past if they want to move into the future.

Looks great, the more advanced apps on the bigger screen just look slick.

My biggest gripe now is the lack of camera and I'm just not sure about the 4:3 aspect ratio because of movies and TV shows, kind of wish it was wider. Even just the iPhones wonky 3:2 aspect ratio would have been nice. It just makes me shudder looking at Star Trek zoomed in to fill a 4:3 screen (not that you have to play it that way).

Not sure how that equates to exercise. All of those uses are sedimentary.
