Just for shts and giggles, I went online and checked all Apple stores around for the configuration we want, both silver and space grey, not engraved (obviously), then tried all configuration possible. And... not even one available on a hundred miles radius. I could order one not engraved online and get it maybe in the second half of July. So, it’s not the engraving part that keeps them from being processed.
Wait is not over yet....
Keeping fingers crossed they’ll ship this week, as a sign that ours will be here on time as well!

Update: My card was charged today morning and status update now shows "Preparing to ship".Store Orders visible again, no change

The Apple Store (that’s who you ordered from, right?). There’s a number on the page you check your status. Or you can use the chat feature also there. At this point they’ll probably just say your window hasn’t changed and it can still make the end of your window, but you might get someone who’ll try to check further if it’s possible. By the end of this week you stand a better chance of getting an update, but it wouldn’t hurt to politely ask now.
Great! Make sure you check all the cards it could have been; that’s what I found out today. Interesting that your date changed; mine has not yet, but my (wrong) credit card was charged. hHopefully I’ll be able to get thst patched up at the store (mostly unsure due to the extra discount I got; hopefully I can keep both, but the discount is larger than the 3% back, so if I have to choose I’ll go with the original). If the normal pattern holds we should move to shipped some time tonight; some time after 2pm PDT as that’s when (I think) mine went to preparing.
I ordered this same model yesterday (was waiting to see if something was announced yesterday that would make it worth going for the 16 GB model - there wasn’t for me) from Amazon and it will be here tomorrow.
