My card was charged.. huzzah
After some faff with the bank blocking apples original request this morning. Bank blocked it as it was a large amount. I got that all sorted phoned apple, spoke to a VERY chirpy excited customer service person who authorised the payment. She still said it would ship on the 15th for delivery on the 16th… so so near
just have to shell out another £120 for the 2nd gen pencil. I use my 1st gen pencil everyday & love it.

Update: It now shows delivery date as June 15th (June 9-June 23). While UPS shows as check back later (pending clearance).

Do you have a tracking # while you are still in “preparing to ship” status? I thought tracking #s didn’t appear until it went to ”shipped” status (I don’t have one yet).
it seems some have gotten their dates changed and some not.
Also, ChloeXiana, she said shipping on the 15th to arrive on the 16th? Does that mean it isn’t coming from China like the first batch? It normally takes slightly under a week to get here (US/Canada/UK) from China. Perhaps she gave the date for the final leg?
Speculating now. In the last batch people went to “preparing” on Thursday and shipped on Friday. However, (1) I haven’t seen anyone say they have gone to “shipped” status yet 9after entering “preparing yesterday), (2) some people still are being added to “preparing” today, and (3) some of us have updated dates while others do not, but (4) those with updated dates seem to point to deliveries around the 15th or 16th, it seems like we may need to wait until Thursday or so to see change of status to “shipped” and movement out of China. I am guessing we’ll all be one big shipment out of China, of course.
I will add what I understand about things here. The ones shipping from China are destined for the US and Canada, and tracking, via UPS, will be available the entire way. Mine was in the second batch, and went to “preparing to ship” Thursday night, and shipping about a day later. It sat in China over the weekend, but once it left China Tuesday AM, things moved quickly, and some had theirs Wednesday, the 26th, and mine, one extra day (eastern Canada) on Thursday, May 27th. With things moving on a different day for this newest group, I don’t know how long the “preparing to ship” stage will take.
Those that go to the UK, where I think ChloeXianna is from, won‘t have any tracking information from China to the UK. If one checks the UK thread in these forums, I think the “preparing to ship” stage takes longer, since I think it has to get from China to I believe, Hinckly (spelling?) in the UK. Only once it reaches the UK will it progress to “shipped”, and that only takes one day.
Regarding tracking numbers while in the “preparing to ship“ stage, I have heard that some people, by using the UPS My Choice App, have been able to find a tracking number once the label has been printed, and before it actually ships. I wasn’t able to, though, but I only had to wait a day for it to ship anyway.

Hinckley is a shipping hub for couriers like dpd etc.
Ahhh, thanks for the clarification about the UK. I had forgot our previous UK compatriots had moved to their own thread.
On the tracking #, it may be that if you are a paid UPS MyChoice customer, you can see info earlier, if that is where the number came from.

You only need to hit the backup button once or twice. You can hit the “update tracking info” button in UPS repeatedly, however.
Same combo here. Switched to June 2-16th today as well, not preparing to ship yet but hopefully soon!

Mine is still stuck too but it looks like there’s hope it will move soon. I did miss a security alert from my credit union yesterday on the charge, but I think it went through anyway. I confirmed it when I saw it early this morning either way, but it looked like it had already charged through (although still in pending state) and I never saw a complaint on the Apple site.
The fact that things are moving during the day (US time) gives me hope.
Perhaps those of us with official windows extending to the 23rd still have to wait behind those that had a window ending on the 16th? Although I thought I saw someone with a 23rd ending window move up.

I’ve very recently just purchased this myself. Can i ask what you use it for on a daily for some inspiration?
I do have the tracking #. Apple order status now shows shipped and shows delivery date as June 15. (original window June 9-23). My initial hopes were receiving it June 9 with the Sunday night status change. Guess, will have to wait for a while.
UPS Tracking page shows the below :
"The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release."

Thanks. If you are in shipped state, I would expect the tracking # (just not in “preparing”). But I think you’re the only person I’ve seen with an original 6/9–6/23 window that has shipped, so congrats. Hopefully the rest of us will follow suit “soon” (but hopefully not “real soon now” aka RSN).
My iPad has shipped after charge and preparing for shipment yesterday. Currently ups says it’s awaiting release from customs as of 12:42AM. Without digging back through this thread does anyone remember how long this process took or what pages have the most recent wave of shipments with that information?
She is in the UK and spent the trip from a China to the UK in preparing to ship.Oh wow, overnight?
