I gave up ordering the keyboard and pencil together after a few tries - the silly check-out window kept emptying the iPad or saying “not in stock.” So I ordered them separately. My confirmation E-Mail came in 13 minutes after ordering opened up. Had problems like most of us, because i added the iPad and the MKB. Should've ordered the keyboard separately.
Got the second shipping window.
I refuse to believe nothing big will come out of WWDC. The specs of the iPad Pro allows for Apple to push the boundaries of what an iPad normally does. Because if that's not the case... as you just mention most will settle for a M1 MBA or MBP and call it a day.I ordered the 12.9" and somewhat hope for good news from WWDC. I'm not sure if I'll keep it if nothing happens. Don't know what I need a M1 in my iPad for then if I can't push it. I'll probably send it back then, get a cheaper iPad and a MacBook Air or something.
Within only 5 mins... and its arriving on 27th. That seems silly of Apple. My order from Best Buy hasn't moved off the 21st. And I ordered it at 7 mins after preorder window open, same configuration as yours. My order of a 1TB placed within 5 mins of preorder going live, email and app was saying 21st - 27th but now it’s states a 27th delivery (UK)
Just also strange on how Apple did the pre-orders on April 30 and things won’t come out til May 21 that should give Apple enough time to stock up there warehouses. normally it’s like a then go on pre order one day then the following week they arrive
I was just sayinguntil may 20? mine is 2. july.
I ordered within the first 5 minutes. I am in US. My window is 21-28th. 256 WiFi only 12.9 space greyOne thing that I was curious about, for those fortunate enough to secure the “earliest” delivery window of May 21-27, was how quickly you got your orders in on April 30? I’m assuming that you had to be within 15 minutes of when the site was open for preorders.
I‘m particularly referring to those orders directly from Apple, for any of the 12.9” models.
I was about 1/2 hour “late”, but the window was still showing as June 4th to 10th, and that’s for 512 GB of storage, space grey. I’m in Canada, btw.
US purchasers: Shenzen Special Economic Zone PRC Apple manufacturing to Shanghai Airport. UPS air freighter to Anchorage connect UPS air freighters (multiple daily flights) to Louisville KY airport and UPS hub. Clear US Customs and loaded on yet another UPS air freighter to the purchaser's destination UPS airport hub then on the truck to you. When this system is humming along w/o delays it is a 48 to 72 hour journey from manufacturer to your hands. That is why other commenters have stated not to sweat it. When it is your turn, delivery happens quickly.I don’t think that you’re going to have to worry about the Suez Canal in this case. Even when being shipped from China, as I assume the majority of preorders are, it seems that they are airlifted to Anchorage first, then to Tennessee, at least for the USA. Canadian orders would likely take a different route, but it’s still possible that they would go through the same two US ports before getting to Canada, possibly Toronto first and then onwards.
I can’t speak for Europe or other countries, though, but I think the initial leg of the trip would still be by air, before local shipping takes over.
I am new to it so I haven't had to deal with it yet... But the text of the Apple Care+ Agreement doesn't mention they have to be purchased together.I gave up ordering the keyboard and pencil together after a few tries - the silly check-out window kept emptying the iPad or saying “not in stock.” So I ordered them separately.
Does anyone know how AppleCare+ works when you purchase the magic keyboard and pencil separately (literally minutes apart). I called Apple and every customer service agent I’ve spoken to said something different…”oh no, you have to purchase them together.”…”Wait until your orders arrives and call us with their serial numbers.”…“You’ll have to cancel your order and purchase these items under the same order number.”
Pretty annoying and frustrating given that the website was giving us the issues.
Good to know! Definitely didn't want to cancel my order and have to wait until July for the iPad. Thanks so much ?I am new to it so I haven't had to deal with it yet... But the text of the Apple Care+ Agreement doesn't mention they have to be purchased together.
Also when I purchased (and returned ahead of the 2021 model) my 2020 IPP w/ Apple Care the agreement email only mentioned the iPad serial number not the pencil which was purchased with it even though it would be covered.

I ordered the 12.9” 256gb wifi silver no engraving within the first 5-10 minutes of when the button turned blue and my delivery time frame is may 27 - June 2.I did have 2 messages saying something about adjusting the availability when I first hit the button To purchase resulting in my having to add it twice more to the cart. I’m from canada as well..Thanks to all who answered my question about “order time of day” and shipping time.
My thoughts are that the only ones who will be getting the “earliest” delivery window are the ones who placed their orders in the first 15 minutes. Then, the next window may have been in the next 15 minutes.
My confirmation email was 39 minutes after the site was opened for ordering, and my delivery window is 2 weeks after the initial window. I’m thinking that I’m in the third group.
Obviously, it will be storage size dependent as well, whether engraving was ordered(that actually seems to be speeding orders up, oddly enough), and possibly even colour dependent as well. Space Grey seems to be the most popular. I don’t know about the storage size, but possibly the 256, 512 GB and 1 TB sizes are more popular than the smallest and largest sizes.
There seems to be lots of stock of the 11 inch version.
