My CC also was just charged. Not sure why it doesn’t seem to have used any of my Apple account balance before charging the remainder to the CC, but I’ll have to figure that out before the iPhones come out.
I had a $76 apple account balance that I applied to the order while it was still in processing. Apple now shows my balance at $0, but my Apple Card hasn't been charged yet.

Maybe that is the answer. I didn’t apply anything when I ordered, just double-clicked for Apple Pay.

Wow! I got mine 15 mins after it went live (12.9,SG,2TB,cellular) and I have a June 16 delivery date… which seems an awfully long wait to me. When did you made your purchase?

I can’t speak for the person you quoted, but my delivery date has always been June 4-10, and I admit that I been rather discouraged that it was so late since I ordered 39 minutes after the site opened.

The only reason that I can think as to why yours is so late is the particular model you ordered. I know that the ones with 16 GB internal memory are in the highest demand, and possibly cellular as well.

Mine is the 512 GB model, Space Grey, the highest storage size that still has only 8 MB memory.

More Flight Aware madness:

I am a bit skeptical that the next stop after Zhengzhou would be Korea. Logistically speaking, you always want to avoid numerous stops to avoid extra exposure to weather, etc. I know UPS uses third party cargo carriers to ship into and out of China. Isn't is more efficient to directly proceed to Anchorage?

Looking at Flight Aware, there is an airborne cargo flight from Zhengzhou due to arrive around 3:30 PM PDT in Anchorage. As noted above, UPS is sometimes doesn't update shipment progress for hours, sometimes days.

So who knows? It could be the shipments won't show any movement until Wednesday, maybe even Thursday. Torture...

Fair enough. I had several orders from the Apple manufacturing plant in Shenzen shipped to me via connections. The latest was the pre-ordered Air Tags that traveled UPS air from Shanghai to Osaka to Anchorage and onward. The other was due to the Pandemic, all air freight carriers were stretched to the breaking point. That shipment did go through Seoul. The amount of freight that UPS is moving (not all of it is Apple), schedules, planes and promised delivery dates are in play. I expect my 21 May delivery to start moving from China Tues/Wed to wind up in Louisville then to me Friday afternoon. Anything can happen though. Either way, time will tell.

11" iPad Pro 256GB Space Grey
Confirmation email: 8:11am EST (Apr 30)
Delivery dates from Apple: May 25-28
Shipping to Richmond Hill (north of Toronto)
Amex showed pending charge for a few days after ordering and now shows nothing (normal behaviour). I'm expecting a charge when it moves to 'Preparing for Shipment'.
Like others, my Amex charge is back as pending and status has changed to ‘Preparing to Ship’. Still the odd delivery date of May 25-28 but I expect it will be here on launch day Friday.

Hopefully they'll move sooner to have time for any hiccups in customs.

It still seems as though Apple is still working on those from the “earliest group” and haven’t progressed to the second or later weeks yet. I hope that they’re not falling behind. June 4-10 can’t come soon enough.

My Apple TV is preparing to ship, but the iPad Pro using the same apple card (with plenty of available money) gave an error, “we are having problems with your payment” and hasn’t processed.

I think maybe I ordered them separately because of the website glitches while ordering. Maybe they thought it was fraud.

Just chat with Apple and see if they can help you.
