If it's FedEx, there's a high possibility to get it on a Sunday.
You are missing a critical piece of information. Apple has directed UPS to deliver that first wave on Friday, not just when it’s moved through their system. This is not a best effort with an SLA like run of the mill shipping. Timed release would be a more apt description.
From Knoxville, it will look like next day shipping moving on Thursday or (less likely) 2 day moving on Wednesday. For the past many years, this has been a very predictable schedule for Apple major product releases. There’s some one offs and mistakes, but I would not bet on either.

Same here , today in the early morning my card got charged but still in processing mode. Delivery window 23rd to 27th may. Location Dubai
You replied to my quote with this? NO ONE with an iPad that does not leave China until Friday will get it Friday in the United States. That’s what the conversation was.
My delivery is still set for this Friday, May 21. However, my package has been stuck in ZhengZhou since May 14th.
i just checked the UPS site (Wed, 5-19 at 4:00 am EST) at my location here in the NYC metro area. My credit card has been charged. Any idea why it is still not moving ? You think my May 21 delivery date is now in jeopardy?

There's a bunch of us in-thread wondering the exact same thing. I'm on the west coast, and supposedly still getting a May 21st delivery, despite no movement since the morning of the 14th. Crossing fingers it starts moving today, otherwise I'll start sweating.

Sometimes the package has moved, buy the scans aren’t updated. Has happened to me many times before with my iPhone. It’s been moving, just not updated on ups sit. I am in the same boat as you. Last scan was 5-14 in China but delivery date is 5/21. You may not see the scans updated until Friday morning that’s happened to me before also

Woo woo! Mine’s on the move too - crazy to think it’ll make it to Toronto by Friday! I work in aviation and it amazes me how quickly things move from point A-B-C-D.

Been worried about Australia, as mine has been on processing since preorder 😅. But it just moved to preparing to ship! Hopefully, it's just because of overnight shipping, so should get it Friday I guess Australia doesn't get shipping details till it ships from Sydney.
