Costco shows estimated shipping date of May 24 for 1TB 12.9”. Save $50. Discover card has 5% cashback until end of April for wholesale clubs. Costco takes Discover online. Also 2% back membership. 90 day return.

I thought I was going crazy! It said add to cart, go to checkout and it would get removed saying something like it was unavailable. Finally after several tries it stayed long enough so I could check out.
Did anyone else think it was weird that the Store didnt close down for 6 hours before hand? and that it was 5-10 mins after the hour before you could add to the cart?
IDK, I had to try and process multiple orders with a ton of glitches (like everyone else) and on the first 3 attempts I had the option to pick up at my closest Apple Store, the second to another Apple Store a little bit further away from my home (I live in the UK), the 3rd was the option to pick up outside of the city. The next ones I only had the option to pick up from a "package delivery point" (like an amazon locker - I bought directly from Apple though). On the transaction that I was able to complete I asked for home delivery...
I didn't knew you wouldn't be able to pick up, I actually thought that with the time limitations that stores have at the moment due to Covid (you can only visit the store on a given and reserved hour) I thought the time slots had run out... Anyway, I would have to wait until June then ? thx for the info.
Totally weird! I stupidly woke up at 5am EST to check and the store was still up and functioning. Even minutes before preorders were live, the store stayed up. Wondered if it was something “new” they were trying and that the “closed” sign was more for anticipation reasons rather than preparing for an influx of orders.
Who knows. All I know is that the glitching for 10min of ordering. Disappearing. Ordering. Wrong address information. Disappearing. Ordering. Was annoying! Haha

The 11" iPad I ordered this morning is still available with the same delivery date 5/21-5/27. I didn't need to get up early and worry about ordering as soon it went live. Still excited to get it, hopefully closer to the 5/21 date.
Maybe Apple relaized that being down for a few hours to update new products was costing them sales of existing products, so they figured out a way to update while still up.

Placed order 9:34 PST 12.9 Pro Wifi + Cellular 128G and got delivery date June 24 - July 8. This is insane.
Took me 13 mins to get the store to work properly, kept giving me the empty cart bs. 12.9 SG 1TB June 9th- June 23rd Delivery dates.
One month delayed due to ordering 4.5 hours after pre-orders began, for a device that was known in advance to be limited in supply due to the global pandemic-related chip shortage that has been impacting PS5's, Xboxes, RTX 3080's, now even cars like BMWs? Not actually too insane, you should be happy to have it locked down vs playing the game against bots and scalpers for months and months on end like with the gaming consoles!
