Good link FMP...

just got a price of £604 for the 64GB including shipping and duty paid... I think this will make me buy it... its not going to be much more/less than this when it comes out... Plus we can take it back to any UK apple store as soon as it has been released in the UK (apple confirmed this on the phone to me this morning)

Any idea on how soon it can be delivered?

You don't get charged duty on the iPad, however vat of 17.5 is payable, if it is declared as merchandise and not a gift, got mine today, no duty to pay but vat of 78 quid:mad:

I know I said this before, but I still think the real reason for the delay could be a lack of content for the iBook store.

Well, I'm going to break down the likeliness of it being due to demand.

8th April, 6pm GMT, Jobs announces that 450,000 iPads have been sold

Shortly after, Jobs confirms that International customers will get iPad late April

Today, sales reach 500,000 and suddenly that means a month delay

Do they really expect us to believe that they were going to launch all over the world with just 50,000 iPads?

Question is, does anyone have any experience of intlo. I ask as someone who is interested in this as an alternative to bundlebox?

Im the same, so close to buying, however I cannot see anywhere about reviews of this shop so am a bit wary. But... the shop has telephone numbers that go through, the site has been there a long time.

They say it should be about 48-72 hrs delivery if on express.

What's with the "International iPad Warranty" for £31.72. I thought all Apple products had one year international warranty?

We don't know if Apple warranty covers international purchases.
My wife wanted to buy it without the warranty and the power supply adapter, but she finalized anyway the purchase without waiting their answer. Just couldn't wait :)

The shipment was extremely fast. After half an hour we could already track it!

More likely it is due to demand, Apple have known for weeks that they couldn't meet their April deadline but they kept peddling it perhaps in the interest of reducing eBay sales.

Judging by this thread though almost everybody is eBaying it, thanks also to the fact that we can get it at prices close to (or maybe even cheaper?) than what they'll ask for it in the UK in 6 weeks time..

Seems to be no choice, you have to get the warranty and the charger.
Think that's how they make a profit.
I got to £462 for the 16g.
Thinking about it right now !!!

Okay, I crumbled. Said I wouldn't barring another delay, but we got that delay today.

Got a 32GB on eBay. I paid more than I would have using some of the other options, but it was worth the extra for delivery on Monday, buying through somone with years of history and 100% positive feedback, and no VAT/duties shocks waiting for me because it's already in the UK.

The same model will probably cost £100 less when it's released in the UK, but frankly that extra is worth the hassle it will save me as far as checking for updates, wondering what the prices will be, hoping for no more delays, and so on. And I get a minimum of 6 weeks extra use starting from Monday!

Exactly. Maybe now I've ordered one I can get on with my life rather than visiting this place every minute!

I'm looking at exactly the same thing. I'm expecting the 16gb to be about £400 when out over here. £60 to have it 6 weeks earlier no more checking every day don't seem to bad. I'd can waist £60 on a night out, just have to have a Sat night just me and iPad ;)

Only doubt is I've never heard of this intlo...

Absolutely right. A weight has been lifted :D

When I thought about waiting 6 weeks (or more) or having one in my hands on Monday, the choice wasn't a hard one. Best unnecessary 100 or so pounds I've ever spent!

Nor have I, just trying to decide at the moment. I have called them and they seem nice on the phone (not that it makes any difference) but all the domain information and company addresses etc all match up and its not a fly by night... Tempting...

I'm thinking pay on credit card and I'll be covered for fraud etc anyway

So has anyone bought anything from this site??
I am sooooooo close to buying this!!

Good idea. The site does look legitimate though, but you can never be 100% with these things unless you're getting the goods in your hand at the point of purchase.

This is the first time that I've checked this thread today, and I have to say, I feel really bad for everyone waiting for the UK release. I was having buyers remorse yesterday for caving (despite that my 64gb was only ~£460+probable VAT), but this has made me feel I made the right decision. Extremely disappointing, but to be honest, I half expected it. I wrote earlier in this thread that when Jobs said 'late April' at the 4.0 preview he probably didn't really know (considering he's probably not really involved in international releases). I think at this rate there might only be a few people hanging on for 'late May'. :(

I noticed on that site that you can include duty and customs in the price, but it doesn't mention VAT? Surely there's still 17.5 to add, isnt there?

I looked at all the options and I felt happy paying more to get one that was already in the UK. I'm happy to pay more and know where I stand. But I hope this offer is as good as it loooks for you guys!

Just dont put duty on, no point as we only pay vat if it gets caught up at customs...

Question is, does anyone have any experience of intlo.

We did finalize our purchase ONLY because we did use this site previously.
In fact the first time we bought there (couple of years ago) we made a try out spending few dollars.

I'm really not pushing anyone to buy there. And I will report on my wife Ipad arrival. Stay tuned.

I just created an account with them, only to have an additional £85 added for shipping and handling at the checkout. Total price £547.

No chance paying that for 16gb!

sneeky.........
