Getting quite paranoid that I don't yet have a confirmation email. I was probably one of the first, if not the first to order in the UK but people who ordered before me have theirs......what to do, what to do.
I'm in that boat. Ordered as soon as the pages came up c01:00.
I logged on to my account in the store and checked my order. It's there. I'll worry if the email isn't there tonight and bother Apple.
Yeah, I keep checking my order, all seems fine, I'm sure the money has gone from my account too. I'll remain calm for now, if no email by late afternoon I'll give them a call.
Just out of curiosity, what time does it say your order was placed?

After reading this forum for weeks, and making up my mind for the 32Gb wifi i still 'hovered' for like 10 minutes, felt like that moment in 'Lost' with Jack and Locke arguing over the 'button'.

You know you can put any SIM card you want in the iPad right? It is unlocked. I have a US version (I work for the State Dept) and immediately took out the AT&T SIM and put in a local operator SIM after a bit of cutting and trimming.
I know, but I was going to get all three so that they're all there when I get home.
Anyone know anything about in-store pickup? Was this option available on the iPhone launch?
I had to put my mind at rest, so I chatted online with support. Here is what was said:

David: I'm happy to assist with that.
David: Click account top right and log into your account with your email address and password.
David: You should see your order there.
Me: Ok

David: Fantastic!
David: You can check your order status there.
Me: but I still dont have the email confirmation
Me: I don't see a status
David: The email can take up to 24 hours to arrive. As long as your order is in your account, it is confirmed.
David: You will get another email with tracking once it ships for arrival on May 28th.
Me: Ok, thank you very much
Me: That's great
David: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: No, that is all, thank you very much
David: Thank you for visiting the Apple Store. We appreciate your business. If you would like more help, please chat with us again.
Me: Thanks, goodbye
You can only choose 1 SIM card btw, if you picked all three, it would reject two of them in the order.
I did wonder why the time seemed off by an hour, mine says 11.58pm on the 9th lol.
Just got my confirmation e-mail - about 1 hour after pre-ordering.
Oh, and the bank called me 5 minutes after my order (7:16 am!) to check that I had actually placed the order myself - I guess they are sick of these Apple purchases

Well that was almost a disaster! No email from Apple so I relied on my sense of caution - first thing when I woke up at 7:15am I checked my RSS reader and there it was - INTERNATIONAL PRE-ORDERS HAVE STARTED!

Still seems strange to me, my confirmation email arrived 29 minutes after the order was placed.

I don't like the "Shipping by May 28th" bit. Isn't it supposed to be delivered by May 28th?
My order says "Delivers by May 28th"
Did you order a case? It seems adding a case to the order changes the shipping bit. I'm going to contact Apple and see if I can change the way it all ships.
