Non-intrusive ads, that don't leave the app you're in, and give the developer 60% ??? Seriously good.

(And No Flash required :D:D)

I seen very little in iAd to make the customer want to update, but for some Devs, they like it alot..

The ads thing is totally bizarre!

Although the details are minimal right now (obviously, it was just announced a nano-second ago!), it really worries me because it looks like 'forced' advertising that we have to watch. He is touting it as 'advertising where the App doesn't have to be closed', what i'm seeing is advertising that has to be watched, like it or not for the user.

If it really annoys it'll just turn people off those apps that have iAd though.

As far as advertising goes (which admittedly, isn't all that far at all), this actually looks quite good. There's actually interesting things to see and do within the app other than a link to a web page to sell you something, or some crap quotes and a close up on Robert Pattison's face.

...I wonder who will pay for the content to be downloaded? Forced ads that you HAVE to pay to watch?

"So here's Nike ID... you can make your own shoes. And there's an app right here that I can download to my phone." Steve seems pretty pumped about these new opportunities. Certainly more jazzed than he was about iBooks.

- I bet he is jazzed about iAd. Kachiiiiiiinggggg!!!

I wonder if it'll be possible to support a lite version with iAd, but then remove it from the paid version. That would be fair to everyone.

Think of the opportunities from Cell Mast location/RF ID/GPS locating. Delivering an ad to visit a shoe shop or Apple Store. Okay some I'd like....

Wow, some people.

So you've watched the whole thing, you've seen it all, all those 7 features, and you've decided to post that you don't understand why anyone would want to update for iAds.

You don't think the multitasking, folders, new email system etc is enough?

I hate ads in apps, and I don't see why I should start clicking on any of the iAds either, except a couple to see what they're like, but hey, ads exist now and are ugly and intrusive, and Apple have got a way of making them less ugly and intrusive. What's the prob?
