The more I think about it the more I find it strange that they only offer memory options that are pretty much the same as the iPhone/iPod Touch. You'd think a device twice the size should have more storage right?

Either way I think I am gonna opt for the 32 3G depending on what happens with the data stuff.

I think the memory issue is quite interesting with the iPad. Because of what it is you'd think they'd get more memory in there but at the same time, as a mobile device I think the memory is probably "enough". I can't keep all of my music/movies/media on a desktop without using an external drive so I certainly never intended on using the iPad to store all of my stuff, but I think for what many people will use the iPad for then 16/32/64 will probably be enough. For alot of people, those sizes will be enough to run apps, save documents, store photos and load up some music/movies as and when required.

More space would be lovely but I can totally understand Apple's decision with regards to the space issue.. (although personally, I wouldn't ever go as low as 16gb, but for alot of users that may very well be more than enough)

It's probably to keep the cost down, I'm pretty sure we will se a 128GB iPod Touch in September followed by a 128GB iPad and iPhone next year.

true, I suppose they need to wait for the price of flash memory to drop a bit before they can put more storage space in.

Would have been nice to have something closer to 100GB at launch so I can put all my music (Although I have about 65GB only about 40GB is ever listened to), a load of apps and maybe some movies/tv stuff.

that's what they have always done - the iPod Touch has always been 1 step ahead in terms of memory...

i'm not 100% convinced it's cost... it's also money making too... dictating what we can have, when... i'm sure they could have put out 128gb's on the iPad if they wanted to :-D

Just been looking at the Bundlebox orders and have seen some people getting them for around £406 - you can see them on this page: http://www.bundlebox.com/great_deals/
Does anyone who has used Bundlebox know who they've got them that cheap? It says shipping is $10 although can't seem to find an option for it anywhere!

Not sure if it's still valid but if you put the promo code: mzoykO when you register you got £10 off your first shipping price.

i dont get the bundlebox site?? is that how some people got their hands on an ipad here??

theres loads of listings for an ipad on there, some say things like "tshirts" as well in the ipad advert??

That page is just showing what people that have been using the site have ordered/shipped. I haven't worked out whether it lists just their 'Buy For Me' service or the normal shipping service. If it's the latter, £409 for a 16gb iPad isn't too bad!

ref: bundlebox

buy from the US apple site (del 5-7 days to BB)
delivery from BB to UK (6-14 days)

You'd be better off waiting for UK release.

I know its the best looking piece of tech on the planet, but come on guys, it's not like we're having to wait a couple of months!

Patience my friends...:apple:

yeah patience is a virtue...... just wondered what the crack was with that site, it looks dodgy and not easy to work out

It actually looks professional and pretty legit to me mate and if you check out the "How does it work" section, its pretty simple too!! :p

How likely do we think it is that tomorrow may bring news ?

Please rate this probability in percent. ;)

I am firmly on the fence with 50%. I have waited so long, I don't know what's what anymore !

Here's another question for everyone....
How many pages will this thread have when Apple make an official UK announcement on their website?

I say page 78, I'm am optimist.
