I got silver this time as spacegray was not available and space black collects fingerprints and grease to fast imo.

And of course they didn’t give the iPad Pro the same coating as the MacBooks that resists fingerprints on the darker metal….cutting costs and charging way more…🤣

I’d agree that the black attract finger prints but to be fair they have the same glossy display and that’s the side I’m getting frustrated at finger prints!

I want the silver one. But I wish the Apple logo was black like on the macbook Pro and that they would add the black USB charging cable also with the silver one. Would be sick combo then !

I prefer silver for the MK - the matte black is a dust and oil magnet.

But I prefer black for the iPad itself. I never see the back, whatever the color, but the black frame looks better with the OLED screen.

So I may mix colors.

That’s what I did… but I went with silver/white MKB primarily because I wanted to do things differently since I had the black one for my M1 iPad Pro.

The black MK looks bad even with the handling it gets in the store. You can wipe stains off the black case (and off the iPad itself) but the black keys quickly show every bit of grit and oil, which is really tough to get rid of.

I have the Space Black and feel it’s only marginally different from the Space Grey it replaced - really wish they made it really dark like other Space Black products they have

I thought someone earlier in this thread compared the Space Black MBP and the Space Black M4 iPP and the colors were nearly identical?

I also got the Space Black because it was a “new” color for the iPP. I agree though that I wish Apple would commit and make it darker. Like Jet Black iPhone 7 but without the glossiness.

Yeah or also here was the Space Black Titanium Apple Watch Edition, which back then was criticised only for looking too similar to Aluminum as a material, but in actual colour, you can really see how dark it is. I loved it. iPad Pro M4 Space Black, while in a step in the right direction, is also much closer to conventional Space Grey of its direct M2 predecessor than the Space Black Watch below.

Exactly. There was an IP7 matte black. It was perfect

Didn't get an M4 iPad but i got an M1 verison. Most new tech i buy now is silver. I used to be Sapce Grey only but i've gone back to classic silver

Only difference is the iPhone which i tend to pick colours. But next iPhone will again be silver

Hey! I’m leaning towards the Space Black, because the Silver looks pretty but it attracts more attention so, regarding the Space Black iPad Pro:

Does it attract more fingerprints? I guess the answer is yes but, are they easy to wipe? Do you feel the color has worn out? I know it’s early for that but, have any of you had any scratches that reveal the underlying silver color? In that case, a close up picture would be nice.

I looked at my silver 11” with iphones flashlight it’s pretty impressive it has a shimmer/noise to it that gives it true silver appearance… i tried to capture it with Flash with my camera it’s noticeable towards the bottom right of the picture.

After having used it for a few days, I can definitely vouch for Space Black. Much darker than my Space Grey M2 iPad Pro, looks very sleek and professional.

I’m referring to the coating on the metal…not the screen. Dark MacBook pros have a coating on the metal.

Thanks so much for this, for this. Personally, I don’t like it. I think the space grey iPP looks better and more stylish with the color matched keyboard. I’m heading to an Apple Store tomorrow however, so I’ll reserve judgement.

What combo did you end up going with?

I’m leaning towards the Silver iPP + Black MKB.
