But it’s fine, the A12z has More CPU and Graphics Cores than the A14 in the Air, so it’s fine. We have to wait for the Geekbench Scores, though.

Guys, I just checked my local price for Air. My final decision is it's not worth it. I already sold my pods and got pencil for free. The price difference is "meh" and it's "meh" without pencil. So if I put another pencil to order it'll be more expensive than my Pro. So I guess I keep my Pro and wait for it to arrive LOL! But the only question is how is A14 compared to A12Z in our Pro?
I have to say though, I would have loved it if we had been given those color options! I would have loved to snag mine in that green or the beautiful blue! Guess it really doesn’t matter though, since I always slap it into a case right away. 😳
Worth noting they finally removed the “New” label from the Pros on the online store.

It finally arrived this morning, a few hours before it's chip became obsolete LOL. I looked it over very close and it's perfect without any blemishes or screen defects. I would have liked to get an A14 but it's a keeper. Here are some pictures no unboxing video though. I was thinking of @MaxGolden12 while taking them.

We would've preferred A14 any day by no means but... How can we use and appreciate the tech today if we wait for the best and new one? I know iPad Pro will have an update probably 1st quarter of 2021. It'll have 14X and new screen with micro led etc. But how can we wait for that? If we wait for that we should wait for the September event because there might be internal updates i.e ram or better battery etc. So I would love to have the newest one but A12Z is going to last at least 3-4 years without any problem and I guess it's enough for me 😂 . (Just trying to make me feel better haha!)

The A12z has more Processor Cores and Graphics Cores. Even though it’s Called the A14, it’s not better than our A12z. Energy Efficiency might be a bit better due to the 5nm Design compared to the A12z’s 7nm Design. The A12z is Plenty Fast, though. I also think it has a Higher Clock Speed than the A14, but we’ll have to wait and see.
Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:
A12z:
7nm Process
8 Processing Cores>4 High Efficiency>4 Performance
8 Graphics Cores
Max Clock speed of 2.49GHz
A14:
5nm Process
6 Processing Cores>3 High Efficiency?>3 Performance?
4 Graphics Cores
Max Clock Speed of 2.??GHz
Literally this Ipad Air 4 release give me less excitement to my upcoming (Still in Processing stage) ipad pro. Dont know what to do , but I am sure not going to cancel. Only thing which matter me most is A14 bionic chip. Hope it is not as fast as 12z. 🤣
Other than that price difference is not much with a sacrifice of 64gb , 120hz and faceID (leaving camera and lidar) . So in my opinion Pro is still a better deal.

Indeed, let us wait and see what AnandTech finds, so far here is a little more detail, it seems the A14 has 2 High performance cores (Firestorm) and 4 High Efficiency cores (Ice Storm):

It seems to me the A14 may fall shorter in Graphic versus the A12Z.
The iPad Pro 2021 models will probably bring an A14X that is even more powerful.
The phone support could not help me with the reason for the additional 3 weeks delay. A new order would come sooner than the revised date. I eventually got them to CANCEL my order. I did not expect this service from Apple. 😡 😡
I have been lurking on this forum for a couple days now. I ordered a IPP 12.9 space gray 256GB WiFi+ Cellular on 09/01 expected delivery- 10/01-10/03. This is absolute agony waiting this long!! Has anyone ordered the cellular models and received it before the expected delivery date??
Knowing Apple, they likely lowered the clock speed so it wouldn't be faster than the A12z in the 2020 Pros. They likely realized gains in battery life with lower speed to save on battery cost (seems some reviews note the smaller battery). This way current iPad Pro, upcoming iPhone, and 2021 iPP will look faster on synthetic benchmark.
Yeah. I agree. There’s NO WAY that my new iPad Pro will be Outpaced by a “Air” (pffft).

I see that on Apple’s Website, the iPad Air comes with a 20-Watt USB-C Power Adapter while the Pros come with a 18-Watt. Not a huge Problem, I use the 29-Watt charger most of the time, and only use the Included 18w Adapter Overnight as I don’t need the Faster Charging Speeds.
Same here. The battery life on my 11” is excellent IMO. I’ve pretty much been on it constantly since I got it. I just charge it overnight. My iPhone is probably feeling neglected, lol.

IDK. I’ve always done the same thing with my phones, too. My XS Max is 2 years old this month, and battery capacity is at 94%. I don’t think that’s too terrible.
