i'm seriously thinking of trading my 2019 IPP 11 inch for a 2020 IPP 12.9 inch. I can see current shipping dates are ranging from Oct 9th - 16th so I have a while to make my mind up if I want to make the jump to the bigger screen.

I currently have a 2017 10.5 ipad pro and I purchased a 12.9 inch in early september. I use my ipad for school, mainly taking notes and the bigger hopefully will help. I haven't received it yet. As far as the internals I doubt I'll notice any difference even between the 2017 and 2020 versions because I only use like 2 apps on the ipad. My suggestion is take a piece of printer paper and draw a rectangle that is the size of the 12.9 screen and compare the two sizes. I did that and realized how much more real estate the 12.9 had over the 10.5

Well, you’re gonna notice A BIG difference in Performance. The RAM, too.

Isn’t that date range if you order today? If you wait, the shipping dates will push further out as well.

Wonder if any of the lovely macrumors people can help me out... I’ve been following this thread for a while, I ordered an 11” iPP 128gb WiFi only space grey (not engraved) on the 22/8, estimated delivery 16/9-23/9, which means the first day of the delivery window is today (I’m in the UK).

My order is still in processing. Should I be worried? Just reading the previous replies to this thread and the person who had their delivery date extended by almost a month has got me worried that the same might happen to me, especially since we had the same delivery dates before.
I ordered a IPP 12.9 space gray 256GB WiFi + Cellular and my original dates were 9/04-9/08 and they got extended to 10/02-10/04 by a whole month. 😩 Mines still in progress too. But I’m in the US not UK.

It seems to be normal. Many orders from Europe seem to have slightly earlier delivery times as they usually ship from a warehouse there instead of directly from China, so there’s a good chance you don’t see any movement on your order until you reach your delivery window, which you have now. Once it ships, likely in a few days, it’ll only be a couple days or so before you have it in your hands.

Did they send an email to it was extended or did you just see it when you checked your order status?

I can’t believe that the dates for the iPad Pro are still into October here in the U.K

These iPads must be selling well, either that or production has taken a big hit due to COVID. I do wonder how quick the dates will also slip next month with Air 4 release.

Why IPP delivery is taking so long to deliver. Mine showing 21st to 29th delivery but today 16th sept and no movement at all. Is this going to be delayed. Already recieved Airpod pro and using for more than 15 days without apple device

Delays due to COVID causing supply chain issues and driving up demand through the roof. Pretty much everyone here waited around a month or so for theirs to be delivered (36 days from order to delivery for me). Apple’s delivery window is generally very accurate, so that’s when yours should arrive.

Yeah, kind of like trying to find toilet paper and Lysol in March and April. 😳

Did anyone receive their IPP before their estimated shipping dates? The wait is horrible. I want to cancel and go through Best Buy because shipping is showing only a week. But I’ve waited a little over 2 weeks now and I’m scared I’ll cancel and BB will change their shipping dates on me. 😩

Sure, Best Buy could change the shipping dates. Why not leave the Apple order as is and also order from Best Buy, and then cancel Apple if you feel the Best Buy dates haven't slipped too far.

The Apple shipping dates you're seeing are pretty accurate.

My pencil just sitting there calmly since day 3 I guess. I didn't even open and waiting my iPad to experience the unboxing of both.

I am right there with you. I have not opened any of the accessories that I ordered for my IPP. If the delayed delivery gets even worse (as some have experienced), I am prepared to cancel the order and send everything back to Apple. I sure hope that it never gets to that point.
