In terms of bending I am not seeing anything.
Light uniformity I’ll need to check closer a little later and see, but so far it seems great to me!
My iPP 12.9 512GB wifi just shipped last night! I ordered it on 01 July with an estimated delivery of 03-07 August. It's shipping from China with a delivery date of 30 July.

I've been checking the order status several times a day, and it went to 'preparing to ship' for maybe six hours before being shipped with the tracking number provided.
I was hoping the same but that doesn't look like it is going to happen. UPS originally had today scheduled for delivery but just changed it to Friday 24th. It seems weird that it is sitting in Korea for a week now.
Sad update. According to UPS my 12.9IPP was scheduled for 7/21 delivery (today), however it just left Incheon, South Korea today! So now UPS says my scheduled delivery is Friday 7/24. It had shipped on 7/14 from China, arrived at South Korea on 7/16, and sat there for 5 days. I am in California.
So if I do end up getting my iPP on the 24th then the original Apple shipping estimate of July 24-31 would be pretty accurate. Ordered on 6/23, so one long month of waiting.
Yes, but @BASRification ‘s status is on “Preparing to Ship” After about 20 days. Since I ordered mine July 6, I was hoping mine to move to “Preparing to Ship” around July 25-26.

Looks like our iPads are on the same plane. I'm in CA also and had my delivery updated from today to Friday. Mine shipped on the 14th and just left Korea as well.

Am I understanding this right, that we get tracking starting in china when ordered directly from Apple? Or are you guys ordering from another store/source? I'm just a bit confused right now

I thought Apple only provides a tracking number after they handed the parcel over to my local post service.
Ordered directly though Apple. I'm in the US. My iPad was shipped from China and tracking was provided at that point. My pencil had shipped from a local warehouse and was delivered the next day after ordered though. I think it has to do with what is back ordered and what isn't. If the product is already made and in a local warehouse they will ship from there. If not, it comes straight from the manufacturing plant.

I also went from a 3GS to a 5s (both then to X) and from the original iPad to iPad Air. I'm still using the iPad Air though.

thats how it goes when you order from Apple.com and they are out of stock. This process of shipping is similar to when a new iphone releases. It's crazy how fast it goes from China to your house though. Once that bad boy gets moving, boom its at your house.
I remember that for iPhones, when they would have overnight shipping. I got excited when I initially saw the shipping, but then both Apple and UPS are saying the iPad will be delivered next Wednesday, 30 July.
I bought a 12.9 inch 128gb wifi only in space gray on 7/20 along with the pencil from Apple. The pencil’s estimated delivery was July 29-August 5 and it came today (7/21). My estimated delivery on the iPad is August 19-26...I know the speed of the pencil is no indication of when the iPad will arrive but it’s really making me hope that the iPad will be delivered much sooner than estimated!
It turns out I ended up getting my shipment notification later that same day (07/20) of getting the CC charge. UPS tracking shows expected delivery next Tuesday!
In summary, ordered 07/01, charged/Preparing to Ship/Shipped all on (07/20), and will receive before the end of the month. Not too bad for an original estimate of 08/03 - 08/10.
Mine's not moving yet... even the pencil and keyboard.

I ordered through iStore, they are an certified Apple 3rd party retailer here in South Africa. Apple don’t actually exist down here in terms of physical stores, they work through a few major retailers including Apple exclusive retailers like iStore, banks and carriers.
Stock has been up and down from what I have seen down here, most of the iPad Pro 2020 models will come in stock and within a few hours our out-of-stock, so I just got luckily and picked a day where they still had stock.
