ANYONE IN DOUBT ABOUT THE BENDING ISSUE SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO BELOW. IT IS PRETTY MUCH MY OPINION AS WELL.

This is one of the main reasons I hate visiting this site. Too many evangelists making absurd comparisons and if you say the slightest thing wrong to these snowflakes the mods get you

Look, I’m not an evangelist. I’m not even an Apple guru. My first time owning an iPad ever was the end of January 2019. The only point I’m trying to get across, is all electronics are fragile. I’ve owned (3) iPad pro’s, tested a 4th one for about a week. And handled numerous other 11” iPad pro’s. Neither of them were bent, or showing signs of bending. I do not work for Apple, and am in no way affiliated with Apple.

People keep coming on the thread saying..

“Yea this bending issue is all that’s holding me back from buying one”

And I say, what bending issue? Haven’t seen it, or experienced it. I’ve got a lot of experience with these iPads too.

A lot of BS is on these forums. And the new iPad Pro is far from being this perfect product. But, it works and I’m happy so far. Even though I’m on my 3rd one. And bending was in no way related to it.

Why would I? It really doesn’t matter either. Mine isn’t bent, and that’s all that matters to me. If you want to be “Pro Bendgate” then you can.

But that video is really the reality of it. Don’t buy a 3rd gen iPad Pro then.

You want Apple to release a notice “haha we gotcha”!!

Well, if yours isn’t bent, and that’s what matters to you (your words), then I guess that’s the only thing you really can talk about isn’t it? And, if as you say you have handled other iPads which may not have the problem, then you must also allow for the fact that someone else may have also handled either an equal number or a greater number of iPads, which may have the problem in which case all we are left with is your experience with your device.

Using the term “snowflake” tells a lot.

So does your german WWII uniform avatar. I’m guessing you’ll tell me it’s “ironic”.

'german WWII uniform avatar'. GOOD LORD. You are definately a snowflake.

Here, I'm gonna show you where my 'german wwii uniform avatar' comes from, it has some 'dirty language', and other things that I'm sure someone like you would find 'problematic'

BTW, I wouldn't really google the director too much. He is a legend, but he's also not politically correct. One of his movies from the 70's, called Blazing Saddles, would have you running out in 5 minutes crying for mother feminism because of what is in the movie.

Snowflake or not, you’re wrong about the iPads

Why would you? Because almost 100% of the comments say the video you posted is ridiculous and without substance and IPads do indeed have a bending problem!

Just checking back in to this never ending silly thread to say that my wife and I are on approximately 1.5 to 2 months of iPad Pro 12.9 ownership (2019 Version) with several plane flights, vacation trips with the iPads stuck in suitcases, used around the house on a daily basis, taken back and forth to work each day in a soft side leather briefcase, etc., and both are still perfectly flat and functioning perfectly. If you go by some of the post's in this thread by people that don't actually own one of the new iPad's, we must be the only two people that have unbent and properly functioning iPad's. Going to buy a lottery ticket tonight.

Impossible!

Lol. Yea me to, but everyone is pro bendgate. They feel it is critical to shoot down any realistic claim about an iPad not bending with normal usage. It is important for them to damage the reputation of the iPad Pro 2018, and paramount for the survival of Bendgate 2.0

Lol

I’m done posting in this bending thread.

This is the exact post I needed. Thank you. 10.5 now listed for sale.

hi all

I have just noticed that my 12.9” 2017 iPad Pro screen bends when the iPad is used flat on its back and the screen is pushed with medium force. I can see the screen content bending under earth my finger. Is this normal for a screen this size?

Many thanks.

I was in the camp of uncertainty about bending and rightfully so IMHO since these things are a grand plus now (I always get AC+).

After the news of “bendgate” died down I wondered how much of this was superfluous and bought an 11in 256gb. I’m glad to say it’s all flat, no issues, and running well.

Not saying others don’t have issues (as evidenced by the pics) but some of the hearsay is over reported.

My iPad Pro 10.5 bent from being in my backpack, then continued to increase the bend until it eventually would not turn on.

No fix, of course, so I paid to replace it. Six months later, it developed lines all across the screen and was dead within a week. Was told warranty was 3 months. Screw Apple for screwing me. I went and bought a Samsung. I cannot tell you how many Apple products I've bought in the last 20 years, but I can tell you how many I'm going to buy in the next year or two -- zero! I cannot imagine buying a Ford or Toyota and being told they will not repair it. Screw you, Apple, for screwing us!

I drove in to a tree and bent my new F-150 all up, and Ford wouldn’t replace my truck either. Damn Ford’s! I’ll never buy another one either. Lol

You yourself bent your iPad, not Apple. Why is it there fault? And it sounds like you damaged your screen too.

Apple offers AppleCare+ for accidental damage it cost $5.99 per month. I’m sorry but your post is the silliest I’ve seen in sometime.

Since when is accidental damage the manufacturers fault? And the 3 month warranty sounds like a refurbished product. I’m sure you were aware of that. What did you do to cause the lines in the screen?

Enjoy your Samsung. Not everyone can be pleased, when it bends from to much force you can yell at them next.

Solid job. The mini 5 may be my favorite Apple device.

Yep, Shorter pencils are harder to break.

I noticed my iPad Pro 11’ WiFi model had a slight bend to it 5 months after purchasing it and didn't had an issue for that time. My WiFi was giving me issues of late, enough to make a Genius Bar appointment. They ran a diagnostics test and the WiFi antenna had errors and they noticed the bend. Said nothing and replaced it at no cost and the replacement is a Perfectly straight iPad. I know my iPad was straight when I purchased it. I have had it in a case but kept it in my Incase backpack with my Mbp and just a 1 subject notebook and some pens. This thing is super fragile!

Awesome they so easily replace these things. Did you have AppleCare+? Or is that replacement just because it is still under the original warranty. That is awesome you can just pop by a Apple store and you get a new one.

Oh and, do they give you a brand new one as a replacement?

I would adopt a minimalist lifestyle and cease purchasing tech products if I had luck like you and a few others that post in these forums.

As long as they keep replacing defective iPads for free its just annoying to go to the apple store all the time.

I have AppleCare + and my replacement looks brand new. probably a refurb but you can't tell the difference. All good now and I'm def not putting it in my backpack anymore.
