I wish UPS had better service, I also wish UPS would update their information correctly. The last package I received from UPS stated that it was in my local hub 3 1/2 hours before the current time was. It also showed delivered 2 hours before the driver showed up.

Maybe if UPS got their act together, people wouldn't have to call:)

How does calling fix anything? You end up getting off the phone annoyed with nothing fixed.

Just as a data point, from the 3GS Iphone launch, note the hold that Apple added. Also note that the shipping dates were a lot closer to launch. (it was the 19th, and yes, the 'extra day' added in the eastward crossing isn't visible in the local times)

What is "world ease"??

Looks like good news!

Wow! That was fast, even though a hold was put on it :O
Hey, weren't you the "receiver"? I mean you were to receive the package and not ship it, right?

I'm still prepared to ship.

Keep in mind there will probably be several shipments coming from China over the next few days. It's a proven system, just keep hitting refresh. ;)

Oh I just wish i could get a tracking number!

My friend and I who ordered within 30 min of the launch-- neither one of us have received a tracking number.

I am in NC (Raleigh-Durham area) and she is in Minnesota (about an hour from Minneapolis).

I got my tracking number this morning. :D Now I'm going to be going through "refresh UPS every so often" syndrome to see where it's at.

Why on my tracking info would an Origin Scan have shown this morning, then when I went to check a minute ago the billing info received shows. Plus the origin scan. Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

Got my email confirmation with tracking number about 6 hours ago, just tried checking the tracking number and UPS says that they have no info regarding the tracking number.

Well, I just called UPS International (their direct number is 1800-782-7892)

The woman said she had info that it had been picked up at 8:00AM Local time in China today. With the service they used express shipping, it should be in Massachusetts by 10:30AM TOMORROW. She did a time-in-transit calculation since there was no delivery date listed on the tracking info.

It happens backwards sometimes, if you noted, before you got the billing info update that no destination town was listed.

Sometimes the pallets get scanned in before the other data is input into the system.

My Wild-arsed-guess is that most of us will see our packages arrive in Kentucky on Wednesday night. (where they will stay until Friday night)

Which will then be held at your local depot till saturday.

Yeah it didn't have any of the other info like destination etc. I've never seen the tracking info backwards before but hey anything can happen.

Correct. But we'll get some reports, I expect, of a few iPads making it out before Saturday either due to neglect or corruption. There were similar reports the day before the 3GS was delivered.

Well, I plan on wearing a ski mask when visiting my local depot this Thursday :p
