It is Saturday. From my experiences, I usually get stuff from UPS around 4PM on weekdays. On Saturdays it's usually before 1PM.

iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

AFAIK DHL got out of the home delivery business awhile back (at least in the US). They still ship packages, but it is usually passed on to the local USPS office for home delivery.
Can you just change your user name to Debbie Downer and get it over with? Go troll another forum instead of continuously stamping on the iPad fun.

He hates apple, has never owned anything apple before, but sold his laptop to buy an iPad when he heard about it.
So really, he just doesn't get it and will probably return the ipad and buy another Dell anyway

Not excited about the ups thing. They suck on Saturday around here. Someone said their amazon prime comes ups on saturday. Not mine, fedex only.
Now to go see what the tracking shows. The kid will be heck to live with if it's not showing up until Monday.
New orders (as of a couple days ago) will be shipped by the 12th. Existing orders are obviously still being delivered by the 3rd, seeing as how they have begun to ship.
As understood, only orders placed now are bumped to the 12th. If you placed your order before (I think it was this Friday) you should be good for Saturday delivery.

Yea. I was surprised too. I'm used to Apple & FedEx, especially for a product launch. But, I usually don't have any problems with UPS (I get lots of packages through Amazon), so I'm pretty sure I'll get my iPad on-time.

Now the question is if they will deliver early, or if they will hold them for 4/3 delivery.
In the past it is 2-3 days from Shenzen to locations in the US when apple ships direct from the factory.
Well, shoot, now that I know its UPS, I know that UPS doesn't offer Saturday delivery in my little town. Thankfully I am going home this weekend to see my Parents, in a City where UPS delivers on Saturday. Looks like I am changing my Shipping Address.
Geesh Apple, why switch from Fed Ex? Oh well, the UPS Air facility and the Airport is pretty close to my Parents, so looks like an early morning delivery for me. Really, I should have just had it sent there in the first place.

You might say he gave it away by choosing the screen name FoxNews1. He probably just assumes that being confrontational and arguing about everything and basically calling other people liars is normal human behavior.
Maybe owning an Apple product will mellow him out.
